A shocking victory.
The International (TI) 2024 China Qualifier has crowned the first champion that will attend the grand event. Surprisingly, the winner of the qualifier isn't among the top contenders. Team Zero pulled insane upsets, defeating prominent teams like G2.iG and Azure Ray to become the first team qualified for TI 2024.
Team Zero Dota 2 roster for TI 2024 is as follows:
- Yang "Erika" Shaohan
- Huang "7e" Heming
- Xiang "Beyond" Zhenghong
- Remus "ponlo" Goh
- Zhang "zzq" Ziqiang
The triumph of underdogs: Team Zero is going to TI 2024
The annual TI 2024 kickstarted its qualifiers a couple of days ago starting with the Chinese region. Only two teams from China will make it into TI and of course, many eyed the strong favorites. These teams are G2.iG and Azure Ray, the two teams with the most global achievements in the last season. Fans were also anticipating the returning veterans in Team Turtle. But not many expected a victorious performance from Team Zero.
From the Upper Bracket, Team Zero took down their opponents one by one. They first grabbed a convincing victory against Old Warrior, a lineup of renowned veterans with names like flyfly, Kaka, and old eLeVeN. They then squared off against G2.iG and secured a 2-1 victory. This win was particularly impressive because G2.iG had a solid start to the year with the recent fourth-place finish in PGL Wallachia Season 1.
Ultimately, Team Zero's qualification for TI 2024 happened after a 2-1 win against none other than Azure Ray. Azure Ray was fresh off a win against LGD Gaming and seemed in good form. The team even led game three of the series, but Team Zero managed to turn the tides.

One more team will join Team Zero at TI 2024
With Team Zero securing the first TI 2024 slot in the Chinese region, only one more is left. This calls for an extremely intense Lower Bracket run. The remaining teams are Team Turtle, G2.iG, and Azure Ray. The winner among these three will be decided tomorow, June 13th.
