The winner of this match would face off against Tundra Esports in the Grand Finals, while the loser would walk out in third place of the tournament. The first game saw Gaimin Gladiators pick up the Huskar and the Morphline. With Falcons featuring a Razor as their primary core, it was always going to be a tough choice for the Falcons roster. To add insult to injury, Gaimin Gladiators also had an Abaddaon who built towards a Skadi that further prevented any sort of regen in the late game for Falcons.

A primary concern for the Razor was who to link and steal damage. If Razor chose the Huskar, it would leave the Morphline free to replicate and steal damage from the Razer himself. Falcons lineup needed to be significantly ahead of their opponents to truly shine, however, it was always difficult to do so against a Huskar and Abaddon combination.

Ultimately, Gaimin Gladiators won the game, in what was quite a surprise. They took down multiple players on the Falcons roster and they simply could not have the buyback at the right time.

Gaimin Gladiators secured the second map with relative ease, and will now face off against an ex-teammate in the Grand Final. For Dota 2 fans, it will be an interesting match to see and a fitting end to BLAST Slam 2.

Gaimin Gladiators topped their Group losing just one series to secure their semifinal slot in BLAST Slam 2. Unfortunately, for them, the team they lost to in the group stage is the team they are facing off against in the semifinals.

The previous match saw Gaimin Gladiators pick up Crystal Maiden as the support. Crystal Maiden shines as a support in the early game, but if the game stretches long without a significant advantage, it can be quite detrimental to the team with the CM.

For Falcons, they had to take a different approach to the matchup. A game of attrition, but Nature's Prophet ensured that Falcons was constantly kiting the Gaimin Gladiators players. There was simply no way that Gaimin Gladiators could afford to trade racks against a lineup that would always look to get the buildings down instead of fight.
