Talon Esports resume their lower bracket marathon at Berlin Major by beating PSG.LGD for the very first time in history.
After an explosive 73-minute game, Talon Esports were finally able to defeat PSG.LGD for the very first time, eliminating them from Berlin Major. Talon, the last Southeast Asian team of Berlin Major, will move forward through the lower bracket and face Evil Geniuses next.
Talon vs PSG.LGD Berlin Major elimination series recap
In the first game, Talon had subjugated LGD in just under 28 minutes. It was the second game that kept everyone on their toes with it going all the way to 73 minutes. As a matter of fact, this is the longest game of the tournament thus far. Not a second passed without wondering which team was going to win because the odds between both teams were even throughout the match.
Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon is the MVP of the game for his stellar performance on Naga Siren. He not only achieved an outstanding 16-2-17 KDA, but also broke the record with the highest number of last hits of 1,073 at Berlin Major. However, his most impressive feat was his ability to stay in sync with his teammates in pulling off plays. During a critical point of the game that determined all, 23savage executed a surgical Song of the Siren, catching four heroes. This became the perfect setup for Chan "Oli" Chon Kien's Disruptor to drop his Static Storm while the rest of the team piled on.

Talon's first win against LGD
Talon and LGD have faced each other for a total of six times within the past year. They first met at Arlington Major in 2022 where LGD defeated Talon 2-0. They then drew each other during the group stage of Lima Major. Finally, Talon were able to return the favor with a 2-0 over LGD. Some may argue that this is a completely different LGD. Nonetheless, it is an accomplishment for Talon to beat LGD for the first time. Talon will move forward and face Evil Geniuses at the Berlin Major main stage on May 5.
LGD at risk of losing their TI12 seat
LGD exited another Major with a lackluster 9th-12th place finish, earning no DPC points once again. They have accumulated a total of 480 points throughout the DPC leagues, placing them right at the border of the TI12 direct invite (12th place). With the current circumstances, Team Aster and OG will likely overtake LGD's place at this point. LGD will have to buckle up next season if they wish to maintain their seat at TI12.
