Dota 2 on one side, and Deadlock on the other side.
Popular Russian YouTuber, Meeponegeroi, often posts high-intensity and entertaining Dota 2 videos dedicated to the Russian-speaking audience. However, his name surfaced online recently after releasing what's touted as a masterpiece. He combined the elements of Dota 2 and Deadlock into a game. And no, this is not the average combination that we usually see.
Deadlock Experemental: Dota 2 and Deadlock collide
Meeponegeroi released a new game called Deadlock Experemental via the Dota 2 Arcade. The Arcade comprises tons of modded Dota 2 games to explore but this particular one hits differently.
Inside the game, you'll be tossed into either the Dota 2 side or the Deadlock side. In Dota 2's mode, you'll play in a third-person perspective and control Dota 2 heroes. But if you land on Deadlock's side, you'll play in the first-person perspective and play Deadlock characters.
This asymmetrical battle may be "experemental" but the uniqueness of the game has attracted many praises from the community. A Reddit user pointed out that Meeponegeroi is also the same modder who created a Dota 2 vs LoL custom game where he integrated half of League's map on the Dire side.

Will Valve pick up the idea?
The idea of a mixed perspective with different hero pools is very impressive to many players in the community. Although Deadlock Experemental has yet to pick up the pace, it may just blow up in the future and gain a massive player base.
Right now, a lot of people are wondering if Valve will see its potential and create something alike. We've seen it before and it can happen again.
In 2020, Valve launched Dota Underlords, a 3D-chess-like game featuring Dota 2 heroes. It is inspired by the hit DOTA AUTO CHESS from Dota 2's Arcade, which reportedly peaked above 100,000 players. At one point, it was an insanely popular arcade game that had people logging into Dota 2 just to spend their time chessing.
Not only that, Riot Games also picked up the idea and created a similar chess game of their own called Teamfight Tactics. Although Dota Underlords has technically died out, Teamfight Tactics remains a highly popular game with an average of 33 million players monthly.
The Deadlock Experemental may provide a similar effect in the gaming industry. Could we see Valve take the first move and churn out a combined game? Will other publishers do the same? If so, it'll be an exciting time for the gaming sphere!
