Quest Esports lost 0-2 to Gaimin Gladiators, but one game was all it took for them to end their journey through DreamLeague Season 21.
Quest Esports had a chance to equalize Gaimin Gladiators for a shot at the DreamLeague Season 21 playoffs. Unfortunately, they fell short after losing just one game, thus ending their journey in the tournament.
A treacherous path to the playoffs for Quest Esports
Before the start of their series, Quest Esports had a 0-2-2 (win-tie-loss) scoreline whereas Gaimin Gladiators had a 1-1-2. In order for Quest Esports to make the DreamLeague playoffs, they needed to beat Gaimin Gladiators 2-0. This result would have led them to a three-way tiebreaker between Gaimin Gladiators and OG. Unfortunately, Quest Esports lost the first game on the 20th, which automatically led them to elimination.
Throughout DreamLeague, Quest Esports constantly faced adversities. They first had to play without their carry TA2000, who was substituted by Indji "Shad" Lub from Luna Galaxy. Meanwhile, No!ob apparently suffered from the flu while playing in the tournament. Quest Esports also had power issues at their boot camp which caused a one-day delay for their series. TA2000 did make it back to play against Gaimin Gladiators, but by that time it was already too late.
