Eight teams including prominent names depart the tournament, as underdogs take the spotlight.

PGL Wallachia Season 2 reaches the next phase of the tournament. The Group Stage concludes with eight teams facing elimination while eight more march to the Playoffs. Interestingly, the remaining teams field more underdogs and new names - particularly from the Americas.

Here are the eliminated teams and those who remain in PGL Wallachia Season 2.

PGL Wallachia bid farewell to plenty of notable names. The iconic TI-winning org, Alliance, has just returned to competitive Dota 2 with Wallachia being their debut event. However, they barely missed their Playoffs chance after a third series loss.

Azure Ray and Invictus Gaming both faced drastic roster changes and struggled to find their footing. L1GA TEAM, headlined by Crystalis, also didn't make it through after only securing a win against Nouns.

Western Europe's MOUZ and Nigma Galaxy are pushed to the bottom of the ranking with a 1W-3L score. Unfortunately, America's Apex Genesis and Team Waska bottomed in the ranking after failing to get a single series win on their plates.

  • AVULUS
  • Nouns Esports

The remaining eight teams of the event comprise powerhouses and thriving underdogs. Interestingly, teams from North America and South America dominate half the list.

We welcome juggernauts like Tundra Esports and Team Falcons to the Playoffs without a surprise. The new team, AVULUS, with Sonneiko at the helm, has also made it to the Playoffs, losing only a single series against Falcons. NAVI is also performing well with the prominent Puppey leading a mix of young and experienced as a stand-in.

Beastcoast, Infinity, and Nouns all secured three wins to clinch the final slots in the top 8. But the standout top seed of the Group Stage falls to HEROIC, who stands on top with a 3W-0L scoreline, the same as Team Falcons.

PGL Wallachia Season 2 is the first tier-one event of the season, kicking off barely two weeks after the end of The International. In this tournament, teams need to maneuver the new team dynamics with fresh rosters on top of the new patch update. The remaining eight teams will compete for the biggest slice of the $1 million prize pool.
