PGL are bringing the first Dota 2 Major to the USA in six years to round out the 2022 DPC season.
Tournament organiser PGL has announced their plans for the first Dota 2 NA Major since 2016.
The company will host the last Major of the Dota 2 DPC 2021-22 season in Arlington, Texas.
This is the first time a Dota 2 Major has been held in North America since December 2016; when PGL produced The Boston Major.
What we know about the NA Major
So far, not much is known about the event as we're still several months from knowing who will qualify.
The top 18 teams from the DPC regions will be invited to fight for a $500,000 prize pool.
Planned for August 4-14, the NA Major will round out the professional circuit and be the last chance for these teams to get their hands on valuable DPC points to earn a spot at The International.
The NA Major, held in the biggest dedicated esports facility in North America, Esports Stadium Arlington, will have a crowd.
According to PGL, more details about the tournament and tickets will be released soon.
