14-year-old Dota 2 player Osito rises on the Americas leaderboard

Osito has climbed to rank 3 in the Americas.

Buckle up people, the new generation Dota 2 players are here. Just weeks after the 15-year-old prodigy, Satanic, claimed the European leaderboard throne, a new young blood rises in South America. A player who goes by Osito has reached the top 3 of the Americas leaderboard and he is said to be only 14 years old!

Who is Osito in Dota 2?

Much like Satanic, Osito is also extremely low key. He is a midlaner from Peru who is currently playing for South Team. A Reddit post mentioned that the 14-year-old had just reached 11K MMR, bumping him up the leaderboard in the Americas. On STRATZ, it is shown that he is a member of Hokori, however, Liquipedia doesn't reflect his name in its roster history. Osito is currently rank #3 in the Americas.

Osito is currently playing in the ongoing RES Regional Series: LATAM #1, a tier 3 tournament in South America. He is competing among regional powerhouses such as Infinity and Mad Kings.

Osito's first Captain's Mode match on his current Steam account started in August 2019. Since then he had joined many regional tournaments as a midlaner. His most popular hero picks include Pangolier, Ember Spirit, and Primal Beast.

More prodigies on the rise

We have been seeing an exciting trend of young bloods rising in the Dota 2 scene. Just the other day, 15-year-old Satanic became the talk of Dota 2 town after clinching rank #1 in Europe. Reddit comments also mentioned that Americas rank #2, RCY, is 17 years old. Infinity's carry player, Wits, who is rank #40 in Americas is also said to be only 15 years old.

The teenagers are coming to dominate the leaderboards. It'll be exciting to see Osito and the rest continue the Dota 2 legacy. Stay tuned to esports.gg for more Dota 2 news and updates!
