Having disbanded their roster recently, OG is back in Dota 2, as they pivot to Southeast Asia, picking up Team Aureus.

It has been a little over a week since OG announced that they were parting ways with their Dota 2 roster. With a year of unfavourable results in tournaments and qualifiers alike, OG struggled to find their footing. This would eventually herald the return of the famed two-time winner of The International, Johan “N0tail” Sundstein. However, even with him on the team, OG was left with a poor 2025. But on November 8th, things took a turn, as the organisation announced a new roster, taking their Dota 2 on a new path.

Announced via the team’s X account, OG confirmed that they would be making a major pivot. This would see the team moving into the Southeast Asia Dota 2 region. With their acquisition of Team Aureus, OG takes their place with an all-Philippines lineup. With the SEA squad having shown some strengths recently, they now fly the OG banner above their names.

Speaking on the new roster, Sébastien “Ceb” Debs had the following to say about the team’s new direction,

I think what is super exciting about what is next is that if the SEA region is going to finally get the championships it deserves, I’m sure that will be with OG. SEA always felt like home to us, and I want to thank all the SEA fans for the support that you always provided to OG.”

OG’s new roster PH SEA roster is:

  • John "Natsumi-" Vargas
  • Erin Jasper "Yopaj" Ferrer
  • Nikko "Force/Nikko" Bilocura
  • Timothy John "TIMS" Randrup
  • Andrei "skem" Ong
  • Adam "343" Shah (coach)

For OG's Dota 2 roster, this means that they now have a chance to recover their year. The new roster will be participating in the upcoming PGL Wallachia Season 6 event, starting November 15. However, with the constant problems seen by the team, they now place all their hopes in SEA.
