Blacklist International members are allegedly in the midst of a bizarre conflict. The team's carry player, Kim "Gabbi" Santos, just announced his departure from Blacklist International on his Kick livestream. He revealed that someone in the team had punched him in the face and some of the community believed the person to be midalner Abed "Abed" Yusop. 



A Reddit user summarized the story in a post on the Dota 2 sub-Reddit. Apparently, Gabbi had trashtalked Abed and exposed a sensitive information about him in a pub match. This likely led to Abed's rage and he proceeded to punch Gabbi, who would leave the organization due to the conflict.

The entire feud likely began a couple of days ago in a Dota 2 pub match where Gabbi was on the opposite team from his teammate, Abed. This match was also livestreamed on Gabbi's official Twitch channel. In the game, there was a moment when Gabbi's Timbersaw managed to deny himself to neutral creeps, saving himself from Abed's Templar Assassin. 



Right after, Gabbi all-chatted question marks and the words "L BUNGAL" which is Tagalog for "L TOOTHLESS". Abed responded with "huh?" and Gabbi was visibly entertained with the situation.

In a recent Kick livestream, Gabbi revealed a shocking story that happened at his bootcamp. According to Reddit user Ptts, Gabbi elaborated that he was watching an NBA (National Basketball Association) game while waiting to do content for Blacklist International.

Out of the blue, someone punched him on the side of his face. He initially thought that it was a playful punch but it didn't stop. Although he didn't reveal who confronted him, his Kick stream title hinted at Abed.

The Arteezy-SumaiL reunion at PGL Wallachia seems to be working well, showing once again how powerful their combination is. Reminiscing the good ol’ Evil Geniuses days, Artour "Arteezy" Babaev talks about his experience playing with Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan again.

After Shopify Rebellion’s win over Team Liquid in their group stage series at PGL Wallachia Season 1, Arteezy spoke in a post-game interview and shared his thoughts on reuniting with SumaiL.



Arteezy: "It's definitely a blast from the past. He hasn't changed at all since last time I remember playing with him. It's literally the same vibes. His behavior is the same and his reactions to things in the game is the same. I think the one thing he has improved is he's actually a lot more vocal. A long time ago I think he was more like 'I'm the best and I'm not going to talk" and all this stuff. But now he's a lot more expressive and I think that just comes with age."

It's true that SumaiL has since mellowed from the cocky personality he had back at Evil Geniuses. Rocking his blazing blue hairdo, he mentioned at TI8 (The International 2018) that his motivation was money. "What am I going to do with the title? I'll take the money." he said when asked to choose between money and the title of champipn. 



Arteezy continued to indulge his memories on how SumaiL used to "clown" around such showing up to scrims late. However, growing up apparently hadn't changed the fun vibes between them. "He [SumaiL] said he's 25 today [February 13]. He's actually quite old. We're all quite old. So, it's been really fun. It reminds me of my youth" Arteezy added.

Legendary midlaner, Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan, has just finished another stand-in stint, this time with Shopify Rebellion in PGL Wallachia. In the post-match interview of their final series, SumaiL revealed his thoughts on reuniting with Arteezy and hinted at Nigma Galaxy's new player.

SumaiL's journey in PGL Wallachia is now over. After losing a hard fought series against South America's BOOM Esports, SumaiL hopped on the post-match interview to bid his farewells. 



While he talked about traveling back to bootcamp, he seemed like he almost slipped his tongue and accidentally reveal a confidential information about Nigma's roster.







"We are gonna go bootcamp, me and... (*smiles) uh yeah. We are going to bootcamp in [United Arab Emirates] after this," SumaiL stated when asked regarding his future moves in the Dota 2 professional scene.



For continuous seasons, Nigma Galaxy has failed to keep a long-lasting Dota 2 roster. The team would change one player or another every time they can't progress beyond their current state. Nigma last parted ways with Matthew in late April and has yet to announce his replacement in the roster. "I think we are missing a player every month. So we have to figure something out," SumaiL said.

Following SumaiL's interview, a lot of people assume that Nigma's new player will be GH. The prominent pos 4 was a long-time Nigma player who took a break from competitive Dota 2 in late 2023. After a five-months hiatus, GH returned to compete as a stand-in for Shopify Rebellion - together with SumaiL. 



With a vacant slot in Nigma's position four, many are anticipating GH's return to his former home. And as SumaiL mentioned that him and the new player will be traveling to UAE for bootcamp, fans are excited to see if GH will indeed complete

The PGL Wallachia group stage has been full of exciting moments, and intense series. With all 16 teams duking it out in the group stage, there have been constant series and upsets. 



The series between Boom Esports and Shopify Rebellion went the full three game series length. However, game three sparked the take that it was Arteezy's worst performance of his career on Faceless Void.

Despite the new stand-ins to Shopify Rebellion's roster, game three against Boom Esports was rough to say the least. Reddit claims that this was Arteezy's worst performance of his career as he had a total of 4.8k damage over the 42 minute game as Faceless Void. However, Reddit tends to exaggerate.

The series close at the beginning. Shopify drafted a pretty standard lineup for the team. Comprising of Faceless Void, TA, Centaur for cores, and a Phoenix and SD support duo. 



On the other hand, Boom Esports picked up Kunkka, Brewmaster and Luna for cores and a Bane and Hoodwink for their support duo. 



So in short, Boom had more than enough lockdown and tools to kill any core of Shopify at any stage of the game. While also being able to play care free against Arteezy's Faceless Void.

And unfortunately for Shopify, that was mostly the entire game. There wasn't much that the cores of Shopify could realistically do. Reddit was quick to criticize Arteezy's Faceless Void as he rarely used his Chronosphere throughout the match. 



However, most of the time Shopify's cores were getting jumped, and using Chrono would most likely worsen their fates. Not to mention that Boom had tools to burst Void down or control him in team fights. So Arteezy had it rough on his Faceless Void.

ESL announced their 2025 tournament plans at the X today. Even though 2024 hasn't met its halfway mark, this famous tournament organizer already has five top-tier events planned for Dota 2 in 2025.



ESL Pro Tour for Dota 2 in 2025



According to ESL's plans, they plan to host five Dota 2 tournaments in 2025. The first one will be in February and the last one will be in December. Similar to 2024, they will host two LAN tournaments, in Europe and Asia, whilst the other three will be online tournaments DreamLeague.



Notably, this news doesn't mention the schedule of Riyadh Masters 2025. Maybe it's because Riyadh Masters is not part of the ESL Pro Tour series. We shall wait for another announcement later.

Despite the fact that 2024 isn't even halfway through, two other tournament organizers already announced their plans for next season's Dota 2 season early on.



PGL has seven events planned, while BLAST has five events planned after announcing its entry into Dota 2. Add to the five tournaments that ESL has announced. It is guaranteed that the Dota 2 community will be treated well in the next two years.

ESL unveiled their tournament plans for 2025

Dota 2 is seeing its best year in the competitive aspect as for number of announced Tier 1 tournaments. Just today, a press release revealed five new FISSURE Dota 2 Tournaments, and specific dates for the next BetBoom Dacha. 



As we already know, FISSURE has also been in charge of co-organizing the Elite League alongside Electronic Sports Broadcast (ESB). This means some of these dates might be part of that franchise. If you follow the esports side of Dota 2, make sure to add these to your calendar:

All we know is that it's happening in Copenhagen during Sep. 2024. Third party tournaments have tried to avoid that month, as players will be focusing on playing the most relevant event of the year.

ESB has not made any public announcement about changing dates or canceling their Elite League S3. Their roadmap for Elite League (formerly known as Liga ESB) was published by the start of the year, so changes may come. But cannot discard a possible collaboration with BLAST as dates are almost exactly the same.

Universal heroes have been around in Dota since patch 7.33 from August 2023. It is nearly a year and the only change they had was an upgrade to the base attack bonus per point of attribute from 0.6 to 0.7. This change, while seemingly insignificant, made a major difference that added to Universal heroes' prowess. Here's why.

Tundra Esports announced that it will no longer play with Tobi who had stood in for team in the past month. But filling in the offlane position will be another stand in. Tundra Esports brings in RAMZES for DreamLeague Season 23



Tundra Esports makes another temporary roster shift as it braces itself for the upcoming tournament,  DreamLeague Season 23. It will be one brutal bloodbath as it is the final ESL Pro Tour event which will determine the final teams invited for Riyadh Masters.



To prepare for this crucial tournament, Tundra opts to bring in Eastern European star player, RAMZES. The Russian player is currently a part of L1GA TEAM which failed to qualify for DreamLeague Season 23. 



A lot of fans are curious to see the fusion of personalities in this prominent lineup. RAMZES is notorious for his brazen and assertive attitude. This may be similar to Pure's commanding presence and Topson's confidence. 



A weird roster situation






For almost two months straight, Tundra Esports has been playing with a stand-in in the offlane position. This began when its prominent offlaner, Ivan "MinD_ContRoL" Ivanov, had a conflict among his teammates. He announced an abrupt "LFT" (looking for team) post in the middle of a tournament which shook the Dota 2 scene. He would then apologize and was ultimately suspended by Tundra Esports.

RAMZES will play with Tundra Esports in DreamLeague Season 23

Team Liquid's head Coach Jake "Spawn" Tiberi took the time after a 3-1 loss to T1 at MSI 2024 to talk about the series, his roster, and what comes next for the LCS champions. 



North American's League Champion Series (LCS) Champions Team Liquid fell in a brutal 3-1 series to South Korea's League of Legends Champions Korea number two seed T1. Despite one very close game and a nail-biting win, it wasn't enough to keep NA in the running. Spawn talked with esports.gg after the match about the bitter disappointment of the loss, his effusive pride in AD carry Sean "Yeon" Sung, and where Team Liquid will go from here.



Esports.gg: How are you and the team feeling coming off of your series against T1 today?



Jake "Spawn" Tiberi: "Obviously disappointed. We felt like were right there with them today. We feel like game one they got the better of us, especially with how they attacked mid lane in the lane swaps. Game two and three, we feel like we should have won game two and we did win game three. Game four we had a really solid early game and a significant lead in jungle. I think that’s a game that if we play it 10 times, we convert more than half of them. So, you know, it’s a disappointing result to go down like that but I’m very proud of the team that showed up today and to be the head coach of those five players that went out there and gave it their all."



Touching on the heavy lane swap focus we saw in this series, how do you think the lane swap meta is evolving as the tournament goes on, and how do unique picks like Samira, Rek'Sai, G2's Ivern, etc, fit into this meta?



"The meta every tournament continues to evolve, and I think that the lane swap meta is very unique because it means if you index too hard into early laning phase that you can get punished quite heavily. I think that picks like Ivern, Rek’Sai, Samira, Ziggs, and Lillia all have a really interesting place in the meta right now, and all have unique strengths that, if you capitalize on them

<p>Nigma Galaxy and fans finally get to let out a victorious cry. For the first time in 2024, Nigma Galaxy will attend a Dota 2 tournament as it swiftly qualifies for Elite League through the Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) qualifiers. The team will join prominent names like Team Spirit and Team Falcons this end of March.</p>

<p>Nigma Galaxy is one of the most legendary teams in the scene. It may not have a good competitive track record, but it holds a legacy so massive that it rallies one of the strongest fanbases in Dota 2. It used to have The International 7 champions in its lineup, but it gradually evolved to its current roster (which is still as phenomenal as it can get).</p>

<p>In 2024, fans had high hopes for the team as it welcomed the return of star player, Miracle-. But their beginning in 2024 started off sour with the team losing consecutive qualifiers in the MENA region. The team would always place behind strong opponents like Team Falcons and PSG Quest.</p>



<p>Nigma Galaxy was also so close to showing up on LAN for the Games of the Future event. However, the <a href="https://esports.gg/news/dota-2/nigma-galaxy-withdraws-from-games-of-the-future/">team withdrew from the controversial tournament after backlash due to its ties with the Russian government</a>.</p>



<p>Following the announcement of Elite League, all eyes fell on the MENA region. This time, fans were confident that Nigma Galaxy can make it through since its strongest competitions, Team Falcons and PSG Quest, are both already invited. And Nigma did not disappoint.</p>

<p>The MENA Qualifier witnessed Nigma Galaxy's improved form. They delivered an undefeated Upper Bracket run and clean swept the grand finals 3-0, defeating Winter Bears. This is also a feat on its own as Nigma Galaxy actually has a bad head-to-head score with Winter Bears, losing two previous qualifiers to this Iranian underdog.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-nigma-galaxy-joins-elite-league">Nigma Galaxy joins Elite League</h2>



<p>With this qualifier victory, Nigma Galaxy joins the Elite League this March 31st to April 15th. This online tier 1 tournament hosts a $1 million dollar prize pool and the lineup is STACKED. Nigma Galaxy will come across the world's best competitive teams right now including names like BetBoom Team and Gaimin Gladiators. Fans are more than excited to witness legendary battles ahead! </p>
