Alliance Xiinya is hosting her own Japan Dota Tournament!

Two months after igniting our hype with the first announcement, the wait is over! Japanese Dota 2 streamer and personality Xiinya will be hosting her own tournament, teaming up with fellow public figures Utatane Kaeru and DOTAKITI for an epic showdown. And to amplify the excitement, The Alliance comes in as the official sponsor of this Japan Dota [A] League!

According to the Japanese site Negitaku, "Utatane Kaeru" is a Mid lane player who has represented Japan in many international tournaments, and "DOTAKITI" is a Japanese Dota 2 information site.

Xiinya took to X (formerly Twitter) with the tournament announcement, dropping some juicy details that, trust us, we definitely didn't use A.I. to translate. Our Japanese knowledge is advanced enough. Here's what you missed if you are not a pro like us:

  • B01トーナメント形式 (B01 Tournament Format)
  • 賞金 100米ドル (Prize Money: 100 U.S. Dollars)
  • 参加チーム募集! (Teams Wanted!)
  • フォームよりご応募下さい。 (Please apply using the form.)

How do I participate?

While the tournament welcomes teams from anywhere, fluency in Japanese is mandatory for at least one member. In addition, games will be played strictly on the Japanese servers. Make sure your ping allows you to play competitively in this Japan Dota tournament.

Betting is strictly prohibited, so keep that in mind. However, streamers are welcome to broadcast the matches with a five-minute delay to prevent stream sniping.

You can read the rules and sign your team here.

+230ms is nothing. I think I can play the Japan Dota [A] League.

How do I watch the Japan Dota [A] League?

The tournament will commence at 12:00 JST on March 17, 2024 (Sunday). As Japan is several hours ahead, you'll be able to catch the games at around 22:00 EST (Saturday). Knowing you'll likely be awake playing some ranked games, be sure to show some love for Japan Dota and tune in to Xiinya's Twitch stream at that time.
