A week ago, the Dota 2 scene was bombarded with a shocking exposé involving OG's former position 4, Tommy "Taiga" Le. He has been accused of matchfixing at the highest levels of competitive Dota 2. Now what comes next and what will Valve do about the situation? Dota 2 talents, Shannon "SUNSfan" Scotten and Troels Lyngholt "syndereN" Nielsen, discussed the issue in the latest episode of the We Say Things podcast.

Taiga's matchfixing case has been a major shock to the Dota 2 community as he is one of the best Dota 2 players in his role. He has a Major title on his belt, a top 6 placement at TI 2022, and a victory at the ESL One Kuala Lumpur. The Norwegian player is exceptionally skilled and well decorated. But there were multiple moments in pro games where he did questionable misplays. Now all that are piled on top of hard evidences like chat logs and recordings. Despite this case still technically being unconfirmed, the evidences are incredibly damning. 






What punishment will Valve potentially give Taiga? 



Matchfixing has always been an inexcusable offense not only in Dota 2 but in any competitive scene. There is a long list of Valve-banned Dota 2 players and most of them were entangled in matchfixing cases. 



SUNSfan highlighted that matchfixers would typically throw an entire game and Taiga 'merely' fed first bloods. Indeed according to the evidences provided by Morf, Taiga has never threw an entire match and only gave first bloods to the opponent twice. Most of the bets are done via scrim information and Taiga commanding his team to aggressively take first blood instead. His betting partner, Sensibility, has pressured Taiga multiple times to throw a map but Taiga refused every time.

Roll out the red carpet! The Dota 2 community is excited and ready to welcome the arrival of the mischievous Ringmaster, Dota 2's upcoming new hero. Valve first introduced Ringmaster during the culmination of The International 2023, teasing its arrival in 2024. With the highly-anticipated Crownfall update coming, many are also expecting Ringmaster's release. Here's everything we know about Ringmaster, including its release date, abilities, and voice actor.



When is the release date for Ringmaster?







Ringmaster is scheduled to release in "early 2024". Ringmaster is likely set to release alongside the massive Crownfall update which will release in "mid April".



As we are sitting right in the middle of April, Ringmaster may come anytime soon! Valve typically releases Dota 2 patches on Tuesday or Thursday Seattle time, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled on these days.






What are Ringmaster's abilities?



There are many speculations when it comes to Ringmaster's abilities and concept. The hero has a distinct similarity to Heroes of Newerth's hero, Puppet Master. Aside from the name that aligns, both hero has the   "jester" look and a wickedly mischievous concept. 









For instance, HoN's Puppet Master has abilities that can tie an enemy hero to a puppet's string and restrain their movement. The Ringmaster trailer showed an image of Axe tied with a rope. The trailer also showed how Ringmaster is able to trick or deceive the enemy unit and control them to do what he wants, a similar concept to Puppet Master's mind-control ability "Puppet Show".

A lot of hidden hero voicelines also reflect this mind-control ability of Ringmaster. A voiceline from Mars says "Get out of my head!" and "No one controls a god while I'm around!" The Windranger Arcana also has a voiceline that says "The string of my bow draws only at my command." It is pretty apparent that the next Dota 2 hero will

Snapfire’s other X-factor is her ultimate, Mortimer’s Kisses. The long-range nukes can turn any form of crowd control into a lethal combo, so try to pair up with Position 5s like Bane, Shadow Shaman, or Ogre Magi. Snapfire with a stun can pick off nearly any hero out of a smoke gank. Kisses is also one of the best area-of-effect spells in the game, helping her counter multi-unit heroes like Beastmaster, Meepo, and Naga Siren.

Snapfire’s kit sets up aggressive kill lanes, so look for melee cores that can take advantage of Firesnap Cookie. Offlaners like Axe, Centaur Warrunner, and Night Stalker can take full advantage of the sudden change in position, and the slow from Scatterblast sets up a chase. Snapfire can also use the cookie defensively to save her lane partner from an untimely death. Max Scatterblast and then Snapfire Cookie. Xtreme Gaming (XG) took down the undefeated Team Falcons in Elite League on April 14 and all-chatted "?" after the grand finals. Only two days ago, Team Falcons sent XG to the lower bracket and trolled them with "gg ez," which made the situation spicier.

After an almost two-week marathon, the biggest Dota 2 online event of the year, the Elite League, came to an end on April 14. XG defeated Azure Ray with a score of 2-0 in the lower bracket finals, setting up a rematch in the grand finals against Team Falcons, who defeated them 2-0 just two days ago.



Before the finals, everyone thought that Team Falcons would win easily. One reason for this was that XG had just lost to them two days before, and another was that Team Falcons were currently on a winning streak, having won two major tournaments in a row with a 3-0 record. But XG took down the final boss and won their first major championship after they reformed their roster.



The grand finals were exciting with ups and downs. XG drafted an early-tempo combo, but failed to snowball it in game one, giving the chance for Team Falcons to expand on advantages. It just looked like the script written down before where Team Falcons took game one quite easily. But XG made it a comeback in game two and game three. They perfectly countered Team Falcons’ favorite heroes such as Crystal Maiden plus Gyrocopter and won the match point with a score of 2-1 against Team Falcons.

Game four was quite intense as both teams were catching up to each others’ net worth growth. Team Falcons had a poor start with Faceless Void, and XG owned a small advantage. The team that takes down the opponent’s throne wins the game. The game has a steep learning curve but continues to draw a large player base even in 2023.

Return of the Tactical AR in Fortnite update



The Tactical AR is officially making its return to the Fortnite island. While this gun's bloom may be a bit heavier than other ARs, it has a fire rate that makes other guns look weak. Not only that, but its scope abilities will give players a chance to really hone in on their sights. 







The gun was first released back in Chapter 1, and since that has been seen on the island multiple times. This, however, will be the first time the gun has been available with interchangeable scopes. 



LEGO Fortnite Edit Styles



Edit Styles are officially coming to LEGO Fortnite. This means your favorite skins that have multiple options in the Battle Royale, will now also include multiple options in LEGO Fortnite.







Details on the new Edit Styles in LEGO Fortnite have not yet been released, so whether or not every skin will have them is unknown.

How do you play Duo Battlegrounds in Hearthstone? Well, when you enter Battlegrounds Duos, you and your partner must select a hero each. You can see your partner's hero options and vice versa by clicking on the portal located on the right side of the screen. To return to your perspective, click on the portal again.

Next, play Hearthstone Battlegrounds as normal while keeping in mind the slight twists and benefits of having a partner! For example, in Battlegrounds Duos, teams share health and armor totals. Teammates can also click on the portal to check out each other's minion and spell options throughout the match.

How to win Hearthstone Battlegrounds Duos



Teammates are allowed to give each other cards from Bob's Tavern as well. For example, in our playthrough, our partner bought a Glim Guardian minion from their Tavern. Our partner then passed the card to us through the portal. This automatically united our two other Glim Guardian minions, creating a golden version with more stats. Passing a card through the portal requires one gold.

Players have clamored for a return, but Epic Games has been reluctant to unleash Kratos to the masses. However, considering the theme of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, many believe Kratos is coming back to Fortnite soon. Here is everything we know about when The God of War may return.

For this information, we turn to reliable Fortnite leaker HYPEX, who is usually correct about theories and leaks. On April 11, HYPEX theorized that Kratos could return to Fortnite for the sixth anniversary of God of War (2018). The game launched on April 20, 2018, giving players a look at an older version of Kratos with the same unadulterated aggression. 



Roughly two years after the game launched, Epic Games collaborated with Sony to give Kratos an in-game Fortnite skin and other cosmetics. Sure enough, it was an instant hit, but Kratos has been absent from the Item Shop since March 19, 2021.



Although HYPEX's theory is unconfirmed, it's at least something to look toward as Epic Games continues rolling out Item Shops daily.

Since Teamfight Tactics (TFT) Set 11 Inkborn Fables' release, there has been a dominance in reroll compositions, both 2 and 3-cost. In the latest B-patch, 3-cost reroll compositions such as Yone reroll and Duelist reroll that benefit from level 7 odds and Titan's Resolve are very prevalent.



Additionally, 4-cost carry compositions are less prominent than what is considered healthy for the game. While Kai'sa carry functions at level 8 and caps well at level 9, it is harder to compete with the reroll meta with any other level 8 and 9 standard composition. 



Many of the changes in the large upcoming patch remedies the state of the meta to expand the diversity of playstyles and meta compositions.

The post-TI stormy shuffle season has affected numerous teams, and Fnatic too made significant changes. After 2 years under Fnatic's banner, carry player, Marc "Raven" Fausto, mutually agreed to part ways and explore other opportunities.

Throughout 2022, Fnatic has consistently been on the global radar. The team showed dominant results in the Southeast Asia leagues and qualified for the Majors and The International 11. However, their international results weren't as impressive. Fnatic suffered early elimination in most international tournaments, except for ESL One Malaysia, where they placed 4th.



After another disappointing run at TI11, Fnatic opts for change. A week ago (November 4th), the organization parted ways with offlaner Anucha "Jabz" Jirawong, who signed with Talon Esports, and coach Lee "SunBhie" Jeong-jae. With Raven also out of the team, Fnatic is currently left with three players:

There is no hint as to where Raven is headed next. But there is an intriguing possibility that Geek Fam might be one of the potential teams.

<a href="https://liquipedia.net/dota2/Geek_Fam" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Geek Fam</a> is a Malaysian esports team that was once active in the Dota 2 space. The organization witnessed the growth of young potentials like the Jun Wen "JT-" Thiay and Chan "Oli" Chon Kien duo (2021 Singapore Major champions), Rolen "skem" Ong (Gamers Galaxy Dubai champion), and Ng "ChYuan" Kee Chyuan (TI player). 



In late 2020 Geek Fam released its Dota 2 division due to the struggles of the pandemic. However, it recently showed signs of life and <a href="https://twitter.com/TeamGeekFam/status/1588462527033532416" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">teased a return</a>.



Raven used to play for Geek Fam in 2020 and interestingly, all of his teammates back then are currently free agents. The Geek Fam lineup includes Raven, Karl "Karl" Baldovino, Carlo "Kuku" Palad, Kenny "Xepher" Deo, and Matthew "Whitemon" Filemon. These stars competing together wearing the colors of Geek Fam would not only be interesting but incredibly nostalgic!
