FISSURE is here to stay with seven new Dota 2 events in 2027
Esports tournament organizer FISSURE announced its list of events for 2027 with seven events scheduled throughout the year. The announcement comes shortly after PGL announced four events for 2027, each with a million dollars in prize pool.

FISSURE announces 2027 Dota 2 calendar
Tournament organizers are announcing their strategies for 2027 to avoid clashing conflicts with other organizers. FISSURE will host seven events through 2027 and the events are spread out throughout the year. Here are the seven events and their dates:
- January 25 - February 8
- March 18 - March 29
- April 28 - May 9
- June 27 - July 5
- August 4 - August 15
- November 3 - November 15
- December 11 - December 28
The announcement does not mention several important details including the prize pool, location and qualification process. With some time to go before the start of the first of these events, we will receive more information soon.
These dates are inclusive of travel and media days, so teams can plan accordingly. The actual playing days of the tournament will likely be a few days less. In 2024, the FISSURE Playground #1 took place in Belgrade. The tournament featured sixteen of the top Dota 2 teams competing for a million-dollar prize pool. Tundra esports won a closely contested Grand Finals over Team Falcons. They won the Grand Finals with a 3-2 score taking home $400,000 in prize money.
Earlier this week, PGL also unveiled four new Dota 2 events for 2027. The four events will feature a million dollars in prize pool each, highlighting the organizer’s commitment to Dota 2 esports. With several big Dota 2 tournaments already announced and scheduled for 2027, fans can be assured that the year will be action-packed with esports.
DreamLeague Season 25 is the next big Dota 2 event that kicks off starting Febr. 16, 2025. The tournament will feature sixteen teams and a million dollars in prize pool. Dota 2 fans can catch all the action live on Twitch.
