It’s time to brawl!

ESL has announced yet another Dota 2 event for 2024 and it’s all coming to Birmingham. Top-tier ESL Dota 2 esports returns to Birmingham after a gap of nearly five years. The tournament has a million dollar prize pool and will feature twelve teams in action in April next year.

When does ESL One Birmingham take place?

ESL One Birmingham will run from April 22-28, 2024. ESL has been running Dota 2 events in the United Kingdom for a few years now. They brought Birmingham’s first Dota 2 Major with ESL One Birmingham back in 2018 which crowned Virtus.pro as the victors. The event returned the following year with Team Secret winning a closely contested Grand Finals.

The tournament returns this year with a million dollar prize pool. 12 teams from all over the world will compete in this tournament. The final three days of the event will take place at the Resorts World Arena.

Tickets for the event will go live in a few days starting Dec. 14 at 15:00 p.m. GMT. The ticket prices vary depending on the tier of seating. Here’s a rough breakdown of the three different seating tiers at ESL One Birmingham 2024.

  • Regular - £62.20
  • Plus - £140.30
  • Premium - £294.30

The regular seating grants access to upper-tier seating and access across April 26-28, 2024. The Plus tier has a special goodie bag as well as a beer or a soft drink for pass holders. The Premium ticket is more than twice as expensive as the Plus tier ticket. It includes Free soft drinks, Infield seating - which is the best seating right in front of the players, and an exclusive premium goodie bag as well.  Interested fans can head over to the ESL website to buy their event tickets.

ESL One Birmingham Cosplay

There will also be a cosplay competition at ESL One Birmingham 2024. Signups for the cosplay competition are currently live. The cosplay segment will take place on April 27, 2024 on the penultimate day of the tournament.

The matches will stream live on Twitch across three different channels. The earlier group stage matches of ESL One tournaments usually feature simultaneous broadcasts which is why there are three different Twitch channels for the same.
