Emo will play for Bleed Esports at least for the duration of PGL Wallachia Season 1 Closed Qualifier
Zhou "Emo" Yi, will be playing for Bleed Esports ahead of PGL Wallachia Season 1 Southeast Asia (SEA) Closed Qualifier. He will be taking Rafli "Mikoto" Fathur Rahman's place on the midlane. It is not clear whether Emo will replace Mikoto, or if he's just a temporary stand-in. Bleed has yet to make any announcements regarding this roster move. News of Emo joining Bleed only came to light through Liquipedia's PGL Wallachia page. Bleed Esports Dota 2 roster is as follows:
- Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong
- Zhou "Emo" Yi
- Nicholas "zeal" Lim
- Djardel "DJ" Mampusti
- Wilson "poloson" Koh
Emo plays in Southeast Asia for the first time
Emo, who is famous for his "?" all chat from Singapore Major 2021, will play in SEA for the first time. Although it is actually common for Chinese players, both professional and pub, to play in SEA server as the ping difference is not drastic. As PGL Wallachia Closed Qualifier takes place online, Emo will probably play from the comfort of his home.
Emo previously played for LGD Gaming, albeit for a short stint. He was only able to play at ESL One Kuala Lumpur 2023 and DreamLeague Season 22 qualifier. Both tournaments yielded unsatisfactory results, which led to his benching on Jan. 28 prior to ESL One Birmingham qualifier.
Prior to this, Emo had an extensively long run with Invictus Gaming (now G2.IG) from 2018 to 2023. He had achieved a number of accomplishments in his time with IG. This included winning Singapore Major 2023 and placing fourth at The International 2021 (TI10).
It has been some time since he had a breakthrough. Hopefully, with Bleed, Emo will have the opportunity to return to his prime and perhaps throw down more question marks like the good ol' days.
