Having withdrawn from DreamLeague Season 27, AVULUS has now confirmed that they will be releasing their Dota 2 roster.
2025 has been a rough year for many Dota 2 teams, none more so than AVULUS. With multiple roster changes and nothing to show for it, the team struggled to keep their heads above water. While they were originally looking ahead to a strong end to the year with DreamLeague Season 27, the team would withdraw from the event on November 10. In their post confirming the withdrawal, AVULUS stated that they would have further information on their Dota 2 forthcomings in due time.
Now, just a few days later, the team is no more, as the players are released.
Disbandulus: AVULUS releases their Dota 2 roster

Just a few short days after exiting DL due to not being able to field a full roster, AVULUS took to their social media to make an announcement. Although having five players on the roster, AVULUS confirmed that they were releasing their Dota 2 team.
The five ex-AVULUS Dota 2 players were:
- Aliaksei “Smiling Knight” Svirydau
- Artem “lorenof” Melnick
- Jonáš “SaberLight” Volek
- Marcel “Ekki” Hołowienko
- Dmitry “JANTER” Nikulin
While none of the players have been confirmed to join any new teams as yet, the post-TI Shuffle still continues. In the coming weeks, as rosters get confirmed for a plethora of tournaments, we could see this change.
For now, AVULUS has also not confirmed whether they will bring in a new roster. It remains to be seen if they have some players lined up for the 2026 season or if they will remain in the shadows for a brief period.
