The Dota 2 TI 2024 Cosplay Competition
Every year during The International, Valve hosts a cosplay competition. The competition draws talent from all over the world, all featuring in some variation of a Dota 2 cosplay. This year is no different and Valve has unveiled details about the cosplay competition for September this year.
The International 2024 Cosplay Competition invites all cosplayers to craft their best possible Dota-themed costumes ahead of The International 2024 in Copenhagen, Denmark next month. Participating contestants do not need to be event ticket holders — all registered cosplayers will attend the Pre-Judging Event near the Royal Arena. Information will be provided to all participants in the first week of September.
What is the TI 2024 Cosplay Competition Prize Pool
After the competition, the winners will be declared on September 15, on the big stage. Ten winners will be announced with varying levels of prize pool. Here are the prize pool distributions for the TI 2024 Cosplay competition.

The deadline for the Cosplay Competition Registration is September 1, 2024, 23:59 (Copenhagen Time). There are a set of rules and guidelines that will govern the cosplay competition and you can read more about it here.

The competition takes place in Copenhagen, Denmark. Prejudging will be at the Crown Plaza Towers hotel on Thursday September 12th. The Cosplay Finals and Winner Presentation will be on-stage at the Royal Arena on Sunday September 15th. Full details will be sent after registration.

Any individual who can be in Copenhagen for the Judging and Winner Presentation Event dates and construct a Dota 2 cosplay can sign up to participate in the Cosplay competition at the event. You do not need to be an event attendee.
You will need to be in full cosplay with all props for the Judging Event on Thursday September 12th. Also, on 15 September if you qualify for the Winner Presentation.
No. This is an individual competition. We do not allow groups to compete against individuals. Human “props” will only be allowed on a case-by-case basis.
No, but organizers reserve the right to put a cap on registrations.
Changing areas will be made available around the judging and finals venue. Please come ready in most of your cosplay as space may be limited.
Costumes must be maneuverable enough to enter and exit the presentation area. – In case of an emergency all parts of the cosplay including props has to be removed from the arena.
