Fans are wondering why this SA DPC staple is missing from the Lima Major

Dota 2 fans have been surprised by the absence of Michelle "Moxxi" Song from the line up of casters at the Lima Major. Moxxi is a familiar name in the English broadcasting circuit for Dota 2, especially for the SA DPC. She was one of the most talked about English casters for the South American DPC region during its growth.

Along with Alvaro "Avo+" Sanchez Velasco and others, Moxxi became the bridge between DPC SA and the world. However, Moxxi's absence from the English Broadcast Talent list for the Dota 2 Lima Major, the first Dota 2 Major held in South America was surprising news.

Moxxi's name not appearing on the English broadcast talent list for the Lima Major drew a lot of attention. Rumors started circulating about her exclusion from the Lima Major. Few thought it was due to visa issues while others thought there was drama attached. A few even thought that Moxxi's transition towards casting for DPC WEU was one of the causes behind being dropped from the list.

Moxxi took to Twitter to address the rumours floating around her not being invited as part of the English broadcast talent for the Lima Major. She laid the rumours to rest — there were no visa issues nor any drama associated with not being part of the lineup.

"I, unfortunately, was not chosen, it has nothing to do with visas or drama. Crushed, but I know the guys will give you a great show."

Moxxi is best known for her coverage of the SA DPC region. Besides being called the Queen of South American Dota, she has also notably appeared as a panellist and caster on the Dota 2 Pro Circuit in DreamLeague Seasons 10, 11 and 13. She was the first woman to cast a main event match at The International 2021 and other notable Tier 1 events.

Despite the circumstances, Moxxi is holding her head high and positively radiating love and passion for the upcoming Dota 2 Lima Major.
