Cloud9 Dota 2 is making a comeback after four years by picking up Entity’s roster.

It's been four years since Cloud9 left the Dota 2 scene, and they had a stacked roster; we just didn't know it yet. Ace would become Gaimin Gladiatiors offlane, winning multiple tournaments together with them. Same as Sneyking, now captaining Team Falcons to multiple victories. PieLieDie just made a comeback coaching Talon, and MISERY is still playing from time to time.

What about EE-Sama? Is this new C9 going to bring him back again? The old-school player is already retired, and this team is no nostalgia friends' reunion. Cloud9 is making a statement: They're here to support a new team, and a whole new idea – with already consolidated names.

Cloud9 Dota 2 roster

As many already know, Cloud9's new roster is going to feature the same five players we saw playing for Entity. The full announced roster is:

  • Alimzhan "watson" Islambekov
  • Volodymyr "No[o]ne-" Minenko
  • Dmitry "DM" Dorokhin
  • Vladislav "Kataomi`" Semenov
  • Dzmitry "Fishman" Palishchuk
  • Filipe "Astini" Astini (Coach)

The last time we got to see the team play, they had some ups and downs during Riyadh Masters 2024. After their convincing group stage run, placing second amongst names like Team Liquid and Xtreme Gaming, they fell short during Play-offs.

No more details on Entity as an organization have been revealed, but they re-tweeted Cloud9's Dota 2 roster announcement, showing good spirits between the brand and players. Since the roster suffered no changes, their next big tournament will still be The International 2024.

However, next TI is not the last event of the year. If the team doesn't go through the commonly known as TI-roster-shuffle, this is the list of tournaments they could be trying to get qualified or directly invited:

The International 2024 will be the test of fire for Entity, and many other teams. For more news on this massive event for the community, don't forget to keep updated with esports.gg!
