Chu steps back to his former role as OG heads to DreamLeague S20 with Ceb as a stand-in.

Ahead of DreamLeague S20, OG shifts its roster once again. Position 5, Evgenii "Chu" Makarov, will step back to his former role as the Assistant Coach in OG. Chu's permanent replacement has yet to be announced. However, for the upcoming DreamLeague Season 20, Ceb fills the vacant spot. Ceb will play as position 4 and Taiga moves to position 5.

OG's roster for DreamLeague Season 20:

  • Artem "Yuragi" Golubiev
  • Bozhidar "bzm" Bogdanov
  • Dmitry "DM" Dorokhin
  • Sébastien "Ceb" Debs
  • Tommy "Taiga" Le

Chu departs OG following a rocky Tour 3

Tour 3 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) was a tumultuous one for OG. The squad initially crashed at the beginning of the season, likely due to Taiga's absence. The pos 4 player took a mental health break midst Tour and returned for the final games. Fortunately, OG clutched several wins to remain in Division I. Though it means the prominent org will have to miss another Major in a row.

This result sees another roster shift on OG. Chu was previously the assistant coach to OG until he joined the lineup as a pos 5 in Tour 2. But now Chu leaves OG's player roster and returns to his former role, coaching alongside Misha. Chu's permanent replacement has yet to be confirmed.

Misha talks about the roster change on his Twitter. "Team together with (Chu) have analyzed how to maximize everyones impact and we came to conclusion that we will get huge amount of value from Chu switching to coach!"

Ceb needs to juggle two tournaments at once

Ceb is not entirely "free" this month as the two-time TI winner is competing in the ongoing Western Europe Division II. Him with the rest of Old G currently holds a 1-1 scoreline following win against ITB and loss against ex-Monaspa. Some of their matches will clash with the DreamLeague Season 20, which might call for stand-ins on the side of Old G.

Though the team has to be careful with their standing quota. In the previous Tour, Old G suffered heavy repercussions when they had to use two stand-ins more than four times. As it wasn't allowed in PGL's rulebook, Old G was disqualified from their final tiebreaker match against PuckChamp.

Nonetheless, we can count on Old G and Ceb to not repeat the same, dire mistakes as the previous Tour. Check out when OG and Ceb play in DreamLeague Season 20 below!
