Kuroky is the coach that Nigma Galaxy needed, and we are here for it! They finally get a massive win on a LAN after beating PARIVISION.
Before reading this story, you need some context: Nigma Galaxy's last best-of-three victory was during the Clavision Snow Ruyi tournament (Aug. 2024) against NaVi. A tournament without many Tier 1 organizations, and with half of BLAST Slam II's millionaire prize pool.
On the other hand, PARIVISION won the ESL One Bangkok, and placed Top 3 at the past FISSURE Playground #1. As a team, Nigma never found the success people were hoping for.
Their players are world-class material, and their fan base have been stable even when their last international trophy was a Tier 2 tournament, back in 2020. With their legendary founder Kuro "KuroKy" Salehi Takhasomi now taking the coaching chair, the tables may finally turn.
Why is Nigma Galaxy's victory over PARIVISION at BLAST Slam II so important?
PARIVISION stood out as one of the strongest teams at the BLAST Slam II before losing 2-1 to Nigma Galaxy. They recently reinforced their roster with Alan "Satanic" Gallyamov, the youngest carry in the Eastern European region. Satanic played for Team Spirit previously, getting to learn from TI-winners before swapping teams.
Nigma's good performance was also unexpected due to the last-minute replacement of their star player: Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi. As a stand-in, Daniel "Ghost" Chan quickly became the MVP of multiple matches, securing his team a quarterfinals start after the Group Stage, and a victory against one of the best teams in this patch.
Many agree that Ghost is the reason why Nigma is looking so dominant in the BLAST Slam II, not only beating PARIVISION, but also Team Falcons and Xtreme Gaming during Group Stage. The Dota 2 sub-reddit is full of positive comments for the team, despite being harshly criticized for years.

Regarding their draft, Nigma Galaxy has been showing fresh ideas, making Kuroky become the star of the selection phase for the fans. On this Bo3, they managed to make a hardly countered Magnus work on SumaiL's hands, while also allowing Ghost's heroes stand out. They didn't fear PARIVISION's successful Spirit Breaker, and also managed to defeat it on game three.
