Famous Tournament organizer BLAST has announced its entry to another Valve game, Dota 2, with five events planned in the next season.
Renowned Tournament Organizer BLAST has announced on its social media that they are entering the Dota 2 scene. Previously known for hosting high-quality Counter-Strike tournaments, BLAST has earned a great reputation for excellent production and viewing experiences among Counter-Strike fans. Their first Dota 2 event will kick off in November 2024, with four more events planned for 2025.
BLAST announces entry into Dota 2
In fact, this isn't BLAST's first try into Dota 2. Back in 2020, BLAST organized a small online Dota 2 event named BLAST Bounty Hunt, which featured six European teams, including famous esports organizations like Team Secret, Team Liquid, and OG.
The Twitter account @BLASTDota was created in April 2020, suggesting that BLAST had been considering entering Dota 2 back then and had made an initial attempt, maybe they pulled it back due to the pandemic.

BLAST's Event Schedule
For long-time players of Valve games, BLAST is a familiar name. They have been organizing the Counter-Strike series BLAST Premier for years and successfully hosted the Paris Major 2023 last year.
After Valve canceled the Dota Pro Circuit this season, new Tier 1 events from organizers like ESB have emerged, and now BLAST is also stepping into Dota 2. The community can look forward to the exciting events BLAST will present in the future.

According to BLAST's plans, their first step in Dota 2 will be a studio event taking place in November this year. Four more events are planned for 2025, with more details on the format, prize pool and locations to be announced this summer.

- November 26 - December 1, 2024
- February 4 - 9, 2025
- May 6 - 11, 2025
- October 14 - 19, 2025
- November 25 - 30, 2025
