Outsiders completely crumbled in game three as Betboom steal their ticket to TI11 with a convincing 3-0 at the EEU qualifier grand finals.

Betboom Team is the winner of The International 2022 (TI11): Eastern Europe Qualifier, securing their spot in Singapore. They defeated region favorites Outsiders, who did not drop a single game in the upper bracket run, in a dominating 3-0 fashion. By the third game, Outsiders looked completely helpless as Betboom mercilessly took them down within 26 minutes.

The Betboom Team TI11 squad

The full roster for BetBoom Team that will attend TI11:

  1. Nikita "Daxak" Kuzmin
  2. Denis "Larl" Sigitov
  3. Evgeniy "Noticed" Ignatenko
  4. Vladimir "RodjER" Nikogosian
  5. Akbar "SoNNeikO" Butaev

Betboom was newly formed in 2022 after signing the Winstrike Team roster on April 18th. They made a number of strides including their most noteworthy victory during season two of Eastern Europe (EEU) DPC playoffs. This was back when they were with Maksim "Forcemajor" Meretskii prior to signing RodjeR. However, they struggled during Stockholm Major, finishing 7th-8th. And after finishing fourth in the third EEU DPC season and missing out on the Arlington Major, they ended up with just 629 DPC points. Yet they pulled all the way through in a highly competitive qualifier. TI11 will be welcoming a lot of upstarts such as the new OG squad. Betboom is the same. While it will not be a new experience for TI veterans Daxak, RodjER and SoNNeikO, TI11 will be the first for Larl and Noticed.

SoNNeikO was surprised by the 3-0 win

Actually I was surprised our result like 3-0. Before it, I thought it will be full five games or 3-1, something like that. They will win or we will win. I don't know.

SoNNeikO on his disbelief with the 3-0 result

In the post-game interview, SoNNeikO had mentioned that he was surprised at the team's unexpected dominance against Outsiders. He thought that the series could go either way. He credited RodjER, who had played with Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev, for coming up with ideas to play against Outsiders. In addition, SoNNeikO highlighted Betboom coach Andrey "Mag" Chipenko for his efforts to help the team win.

Outsiders has one last chance

Outsiders once again had their ticket to TI seized from them. Not too long ago, they were celebrating a direct invite to TI after barely making the cut within the DPC ranking threshold. But Valve then released an official statement that readjusted their DPC points, allowing Fnatic to overtake them for the last seat just by one point. Outsiders has one last chance along with NaVi to earn their place at TI11 via the Last Chance Qualifiers, which is to happen from October 8th to 12th.
