After an unsatisfactory performance, it seems like BetBoom Team wants to make some changes.

One of the top Eastern European teams, BetBoom Team, might be planning to switch up roles among their players. Egor "Nightfall" Grigorenko, who is renowned for his beastly carry during TI10, might reprise his role after years of playing offlane. And BetBoom's carry player, Pure, is seen experimenting offlane in pubs.

BetBoom possibly making changes after disappointing performances

BetBoom Team started the season with colossal expectations on their shoulders. The team fields the biggest stars of Eastern Europe including TI winner, TORONTOTOKYO. They had a good start, finishing first in EEU for Tour 1 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC). However, things went wrong and they flunked at the Lima Major. After the disappointing performance, they would struggle again in Tour 2 and placed 3rd behind Team Spirit and HellRaisers. This likely prompted a change within the team.

BetBoom's carry player, Pure, is highly praised for his carry gameplay. He was the next-generation carry for Virtus.pro (after Nightfall) but would later depart the team after a controversy. He gained a lot of attention during his time with Entity, which saw impressive achievements. Currently, the 13K MMR player is the official carry player for BetBoom Team, however, he has been playing offlane a lot in pubs.

On his smurf account, he played 32 games in the last 8 days and most of his heroes were offlane heroes. He picked Beastmaster the most, followed by Primal Beast.

If Pure switches to offlane, it only makes sense that Nightfall is returning to the carry role. The 20-year-old was originally a carry player and his prowess could be seen during his days with Virtus.pro. (Remember the Dawnbreaker carry at TI10, anyone?) He also recently played a ton of carry heroes in pubs.

BetBoom Team prepares for the Berlin Major

The next Dota 2 Major, the Berlin Major, will start on April 26th. Teams have only two more weeks to prepare and it seems like BetBoom is planning to have a role switchup in the upcoming Major. It definitely feels like a risky move. Nightfall had not officially played carry since 2021 and Pure has no experience as an offlaner. Nonetheless, it's exciting to see what BetBoom can bring with a fresh look.
