With the update also comes updates and a new reward to the seasonal event, and the official announcement of DOTA: Dragon’s Blood Season 2
Hat-lovers rejoice! The latest Dota 2 update brings the all-new Aghanim's Collector's Cache 2021 - an exclusive treasure with 18 community-voted sets.
Alongside the shiny new sets, the Aghanim's Labyrinth Seasonal Event is getting some changes too. Between new rewards, and significant gameplay updates - it might just be time to grab your pals and venture into the Labyrinth yet again!
As if that wasn't enough content, the long-awaited Season 2 of Dragon's Blood is here as well! In case you missed out on Season 1, or didn't get around to finishing, you can find a full recap here.
Everything You Need To Know About Aghanim's Collector's Cache 2021
Similarly to the Collector's Caches of previous years, these sets are only available for a limited time. This means that they won't be tradable or marketable at all. If there's any one that you're eyeing, you'd have to either get it gifted to you, or get it from the Cache.
Of course, getting the one you want out of the 18 available is where the trouble begins. With that said, the set quality is pretty bonkers this year, leaving even pros yearning for their favourite heroes.
Players can buy the Caches for $2.49USD a piece.
As per usual, the sets can be recycled for 2 Battle Pass Levels. While that's not exactly the best tradeoff, you can use it in a pinch for that boost to a major reward or milestone.
Last but not least, players can earn up to 36 additional Battle Pass Levels. The points earned depends on the amount of Collector's Caches they open. These increase at the 1, 8 and 15 treasures opened mark.

Alongside the Collector's Cache release comes a gameplay update for the seasonal event as well. While it may not be the patch that many of us are waiting for, it's nice to see the mode being continually updated.
You can read the full list of changes here. In case you don't want to get into the nitty gritty details, here's a short summary of the important ones.
- More Legacy Encounters have been added - hooray nostalgia!
- Some previously "unplayable" heroes (looking at you, Witch Doctor) have been hopefully buffed to viability
- Overall quality of life, bug fixes and values being rescaled.
With these fresh new adjustments, it may just be high time to hop back into the Lab with your pals.
Of course, the endeavors will not go unrewarded. Players who manage to unlock all 10 multiverse versions of Aghanim will be granted a courier for their troubles.
As mentioned, the update also officially announces Season 2 of DOTA: Dragon's Blood - now available on Netflix.
