In what would be one of the most epic Dota 2 grand finals of 2025, Tundra Esports took down Team Falcons at BLAST Slam IV.
Throughout 2025, we have seen many rivalries in Dota 2 form. One of these has been between two juggernauts, Team Falcons and Tundra Esports. On one side were the champions of The International 2025, while Tundra’s dominance at BLAST Slam events was well-documented. With the grand finals of BLAST Slam IV, the two teams would go head-to-head once again, in a replay of the previous tournament’s grand final.
Identical drafts prove Tundra Esports’ strength at BLAST Slam IV

Although it was a short weekend of Dota 2 action from BLAST Slam IV, both Falcons and Tundra gave us the culmination that we deserved. A full five-game series, with twists, turns, comebacks, and absolute domination, was seen. While Falcons seemed the stronger right off the bat, with an interesting draft to kick things off, Tundra kept their spirits high. Even when going down 2-1 in the series, being battered by the TI champions, Tundra never wavered.
It was the final two games in the series that would be the most interesting. Game 4 looked as though it would be a tournament win for Falcons. However, having been unable to take down the Ancient, they were left on the back foot. Tundra took complete advantage, making the series go to a decisive Game 5. And this is where the fun began.
Both teams and coaches went into the final game’s draft with a victory in mind, which ended in both picking the exact same heroes as the previous game. This is the first time that this has happened in professional Dota 2, according to the panel at BLAST Slam IV. Oddly, the events leading up to Tundra’s victory mimicked those of the previous game, too. As Oliver "Skiter" Lepko’s Divine Rapier dropped in both games, it would be Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko to pick it up with Morphling and close out the games.
Three BLAST Slam wins for Tundra
This gave Tundra their third BLAST Slam championship of 2025, having won the previous two tournament iterations this year.
For Tundra, they take this victory forward to PGL Wallachia Season 6, kicking off on November 15, before they go in search of yet another BLAST Slam at V in two weeks. Falcons, on the back of a FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2 victory, could not convert a second post-TI event to a win. However, they will hope to finally take down Tundra at BLAST Slam V later this month.
