The final of three episodes before we embark on Destiny 2’s Frontiers update.

The third and final episode of Destiny 2's post-The Final Shape content release, Episode Heresy, is about to launch. We discovered the Echoes of The Witness and defeated the Vex in Episode: Echoes, then stopped the Scorn overlord Fikrul in Episode: Revenant.

Now, it's the Hive's turn. Here's a look at when Episode: Heresy kicks off including the new activity, dungeon, PvP changes, and more!

Episode: Heresy begins on Feb. 4 during the weekly reset. Destiny 2 servers will go down for an extended period while the new episode is deployed.

Servers should be back up in the early morning for U.S. players, while European players will be able to access the episode in the late afternoon. Asian/Australian players, that's early on Feb. 5 for you!

Those rushing to complete Episode: Revenant activities will have right up until reset to be done. Revenant activities will not be available once Episode: Heresy goes live.

When does the new dungeon, Sundered Doctrine, open to players?

There is no new raid coming with Episode: Heresy. Instead, guardians will traverse the Dreadnaught and return to Rhulk's Pyramid ship via the new dungeon Sundered Doctrine, which will open on Feb. 7.

For the first 48 hours, Sundered Doctrine will run with Contest Mode meaning tougher enemies and weaker guardian damage. Those who clear Sundered Doctrine in Contest Mode will receive the dungeon's contest emblem and extra loot.

The first team to clear Sundered Doctrine will receive the coveted World's First Title and trophy as well as a bunch of other goodies. Racing for World's First isn't for the faint of heart, so if you'd prefer to spectate, keep an eye out for Bungie's official World First stream on Feb. 7 or watch your favorite creator on Twitch!

Players must have completed the Heresy prologue missions, unlocked the Tablet of Ruin Artifact, and be at 1,995 Power or higher to enter Sundered Doctrine.

Eris Morn needs your help. She, along with Commander Sloane and the Drifter, have become aware of something causing trouble aboard the abandoned Hive Dreadnaught outside Saturn.

We haven't been aboard the Dreadnaught properly since Destiny 1's The Taken King expansion where we fought to take down Oryx, the Taken King. Guardians were able to enter the Dreadnaught in Destiny 2 via the raid King's Fall, but it is back as a full destination for players to explore.

A new activity, The Nether, sees guardians explore the Dreadnaught and take down scores of Taken and Hive as they investigate the possible return of the Spirit of Oryx. Bungie has said this activity takes cues from The Coil, a well-received activity back from Season of the Wish.

There is no Exotic armor to chase this episode. Two Exotic weapons — Barrow-Dyad (Strand SMG) and Loadstar (Primary trace rifle) — will be available to begin with. The latter is the season pass Exotic, while it's not clear how we'll get our hands on Barrow-Dyad yet.

There's plenty more arriving with Heresy including huge updates to Crucible and Trials of Osiris, as well as major subclass changes — particularly for Titans.
