Destiny 2's Dawning event has come at last. The Dawning is known for bringing some pretty powerful new weapons and 2024's edition is no exception with Mistral Lift — a new three-round burst linear fusion rifle — possessing quite a god roll of perks!

Mistral Lift is born to be a PvE boss-killing machine, and there are plenty of perk combinations that will help it become an inventory staple. We're going with the tried-and-tested Bait and Switch combo, which works perfectly with new perk Envious Arsenal.
Switching and damaging a target with your other two weapons will also buff and reload Mistral Lift with this perk combination. Pair it with an area denial grenade launcher like the VS Velocity Baton for maximum damage output. If you aren't a fan of those perks, Reconstruction helps with automatic ammo recovery while Precision Instrument gives nearly the same damage bonus as Bait and Switch.

Mistral Lift is not a weapon we'd recommend using in the Crucible. Burst linear fusion rifles aren't ideal for PvP as the ammo you'll get is limited and you'll often need to hit the full burst for a kill.
If you're still eager on trying for a PvP roll for Mistral Lift, I recommend Moving Target and Vorpal Weapon. Moving Target helps with target acquisition when on the move, while Vorpal Weapon guarantees you'll land a kill against guardians mid-Super.
Focus on handling and stability with your barrel and magazine perks, and slap on a Tactical Weapon Mod when you can!
How to get Mistral Lift in Destiny 2
Mistral Lift is only available during the Dawning Destiny 2 event. The Christmas and Thanksgiving event runs from mid-December to early February.
You'll be able to roll for Mistral Lift once you complete the Dawning 2024 event card challenge. It requires you to kill enemies using Void damage to unlock. Head to Eva Levante with your Dawning Spirit and your Gifts in Return to get your hands on the linear fusion.
This weapon cannot be crafted. Leveling up the weapon will allow you to equip enhanced perks.
