Deadlock Fight Night provides a glimpse into the potential of Deadlock esports
Deadlock Fight Night is a weekly, invite-only, Deadlock esports tournament that has both a North American and European circuit that is currently running. These consist of a play-in match between two teams vying for the chance to play the reigning champion from the previous week — all for the chance at a $1,000 prize pool.
Thus far, these matches have featured some of the best current Deadlock players and teams from across the globe, including the following former professional players from other titles:
- João "Hydration" Goes Telles (Overwatch League)
- Konstantin "Hardecki" Kozlov (Apex Legaends)
- Kevin "TviQ" Lindström (Overwatch League)
- Aidan "rocker" Grodin (Apex Legends)
And, with broadcast talent like Mitch "Uber" Leslie, Andrew "ZP" Rush, and Jason Kaplan on board, the viewing experience has been impressive for such an early-on and grassroots esports event.
There have been three Deadlock Fight Nights so far, with Hydra Nation and Pojilaya Skumbriya both winning the third iteration. Now, these two teams will attempt to defend their title heading into the fourth week of DFN, which takes place on Oct. 30 at 4 p.m. EST. Be sure and tune in on the DFN Twitch channel or their YouTube channel to catch all the latest action!
