Deadlock gets its ranked mode on October 15, with weekly updates to your rank medal based on your performance.
Deadlock players rejoice. The game is finally getting a competitive queue for everyone who feels like they're the best. On October 15, Deadlock ranked is live for everyone to play. That is if you have the right amount of games played and pick a proper schedule.
This is something players have definitely been waiting for, but there are some limitations in place to start. We will go over all of those details ahead, so that you're prepared for the game's ranked mode when it launches.
How to unlock ranked mode in Deadlock
The catch is that you have to have played 50 total games in the regular matchmaking queue to access ranked in Deadlock. And anyone with behavior restrictions, like text and voice bans, will be unable to queue up.
The ranked mode is solo only for now, but expect some stacking available in the future. The game is still in its playtesting mode, mind you. As well, seven games are required each week for them to have enough data to continue calculating your rank for the following weeks.

When does ranked go live?
Deadlock's ranked mode is available on October 15, 2024 at 1 p.m. PST. That also happens to be when the first schedule window opens up. Players can select a time zone that fits their schedule, with only one change allowed per week.
The game automatically assigns you to the server with the best ping, and you can play in the afternoon or at night, all dependent on your time zone. Each Tuesday, they'll issue Deadlock ranked medals depending on how you performed. As you matchmake, you will only go against those with the same medal as you.
