Robin "ropz" Kool has departed mousesports after a stint of nearly four and a half years together.

He was one of the longest-standing members of a roster in CS:GO, perhaps only surpassed by S1mple's stint with Na'vi, and defined much of Mouz' runs over the past four years.

These runs have included both good and bad, as he's been with the roster through many different team compositions.

Most famously Ropz won StarSeries i-League Season 4, V4 Future Sports Festival, and ESL One New York with Mouz. It was during 2018 that he debuted in the HLTV top 20 players at #19. He went on to place #10 and #7 in subsequent years in CS:GO as Mouz underwent many changes.

Now, Ropz will reportedly head to FaZe Clan, according to a Mid-December report for another reunion with Karrigan from Dexerto's Luis Mira. Mouz themselves have suffered a year full of middling finishes, exiting many events before the playoffs. This has caused them to fall outside of the top 10 teams in an era filled with surprising results due to online play. This was with the notable exception of a clutch victory at Flashpoint 3.

Ropz is expected to replace Olof "olofmeister" Kaajbjer in FaZe's starting lineup. He's been in and out of FaZe as he has toyed with the idea of retirement publicly earlier in 2021.

Mousesports are left with the following players, with no reports yet on who will replace Ropz:

  • David "frozen" Čerňanský
  • Christopher "dexter" Nong
  • Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras
  • Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand
  • Torbjørn "mithR" Nyborg (coach)
