Is Olofmeister moving to VALORANT?
Fnatic is reportedly trialing Olofmeister for its VALORANT team along with several other Polish players.
Olofmeister is one of the best FPS players in the world and played a crucial part in Fnatic’s dream run in the early days of CS: GO. Notorious for the Olofboost, Gustafsson’s aggressive playstyle and pinpoint accuracy made him a formidable force in Counter-Strike. According to neL, the player has not yet decided his future course of action. However, he has been planning a potential move to VALORANT for close to a year.
In an interview with Russian esports website, Cybersport.ru, Marcelo “coldzera” David said Olofmeister was considering CS:GO retirement.
Fnatic VALORANT roster changes
Fnatic entered the VALORANT scene by signing the SUMN FC roster. The team failed to impress with two last-place finishes in the VCT 2021: Europe Stage 1 Challengers 2 & 3. Fnatic benched Kostas “tsack” Theodoropoulos and Muhammad “Moe40” Hariff following the string of poor results.
Fnatic is also considering Nicholas “Mickebwoy” Chojnacki and Ballista Esports player, Michal “Buld” Sokal for its VALORANT roster. At least five players have trialed for Fnatic in the last few days.
Olofmeister is a Counter-Strike legend and has two CS:GO Major victories to his name. He recently went inactive in February 2021 sparking rumors of retirement and a potential move to VALORANT.
The VCT 2021: Europe Stage 2 Challengers 2 open qualifiers will start on April 10th and run for three days.
