Team Liquid’s roster is now complete. How far can they go in 2022?
Team Liquid have announced Nick "nitr0" Cannella as the final member of their CS: GO roster. The former Valorant player makes his way back to Counter-Strike and now reunites with his former teammates in Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski and Keith "NAF" Markovic.
Nitro spent five years on Team Liquid before parting ways with the squad to move to Valorant. His time on Valorant was short-lived as he has now announced his CS: GO return. During his time on 100Thieves Valorant roster, the team had average results, ending with a failure to qualify for VCT Champs Berlin in December. They finished 3-4th place at the NA LCQ, their last chance to qualify to the VCT Champs coming to an end.
"Counter-Strike’s a game that I’ve always played, my whole life. Valorant was… It was a game that felt right in the moment to switch to but my first option was not Valorant - as everyone knows. My first option was to still compete in Counter-Strike - so it’s not like I didn’t want to play. It was like, I wanted to play but there were no good offers that made sense in my mind, so I swapped."
