The announcement comes just three weeks after the player joined the org.

Into The Breach has announced it is parting ways with Adam “NEOFRAG” Zouhar with immediate effect. The Czech rifler was on the roster for only three weeks.

British organization Into the Breach (ITB) has ended all professional association with a newly signed player just three weeks after his induction. The announcement comes as a shock to ITB fans who were expecting a rebuilding period for the roster.

Why did Into the Breach release NEOFRAG?

The org said they are parting ways with the player due to “comments and perspectives displayed which do not align with our attitudes regarding inclusivity and equality”.

“The expectations of our organization are clear—and we hold everyone to the same standard,” the British org said in its official statement. “There have been unequivocal breaches of our morals and company standards we cannot overlook.”

Speculations are rife on social media and Reddit about the actual reason for this decision. Some fans claim the org took the decision over an old clip from 2022 where the player used a racial slur.

The CEO refuted these allegations confirming that the decision was due to a recent incident and not the one from 2022.

A Short Stint with ITB

NEOFRAG played just five matches with the team with the most recent being IEM Cologne Play-Ins. Into the Breach crashed out in the Play-Ins losing both of its matches. The first match was a 5-16 loss to NIP on Ancient. In the lower bracket, they had a best-of-three series, but they crashed out 0-2 to The MongolZ.

The team also failed to qualify for Gamers8 2023 which has a million-dollar prize pool. With a brutal single-elimination format, the Gamers8 tournament was a perfect opportunity for teams to cause an upset.

Into the Breach is currently competing in the CCT Online Finals 2. The org has not yet announced a replacement for the former player
