FASHR rounds out Fnatic complete roster in CS: GO

Fnatic have announced that FASHR will be the final piece of their roster.

After months of trials and stand-ins, Fnatic has finally announced their permanent fifth in FASHR. Netherland's rising talent Dion "FASHR" Derksen will be joining the roster as the fifth. Famous for his time in ECSTATIC, the player has generated quite a reputation for himself with strong performances across the board.

FASHR: A Strong Fragger in ECSTATIC

ECSTATIC was best known for their IGL Thomas "birdfromsky" Due Frederiksen and his uncanny reads. But FASHR was a standout performer in the squad. Helping the team acrue a number of strong placements. Their best event by far was FunSpark ULTI Europe Playoffs 3.

Individually the player always mantained a high level. During his yearlong stint with the team, the Dutch rifler put in consistent performances, dating back to when the team played under the Lyngby Vikings Banner. While some of that success came off the back of strong calling from BFS, FASHR showed his incredible mechanics quite regularly.

Fnatic's Rebuild finally comed to an end

Fnatic has been rebuilding for what seems like an enternity at this point. In 2021, the team started their move to international, bringing in Alex 'ALEX' McMeekin and William 'mezii' Merriman. And after failing the 2021 RMR cycle, the team added further firepower in the form of Owen 'smooya' Butterfield. But the move backfired, and Smooya was put on the bench immediately after IEM Katowice 2022. With Brollan booking his ticket out of the downwards spiral of Fnatic before EPL S15, the team fielded 3 stand-ins for the event.

In what might be ALEX's biggest miracle so far, he managed to pull together that ragtag group of youngsters and took them all the way to the Playoffs. But the team failed to make it through the RMR Gauntlet and Fnatic changed their roster once more. ALEX benched himself, and Fnatic brought in Danish duo Fredrik 'roeJ' Jørgensen and Nico 'nicoodoz' Tamjidi. With Patrik 'f0rest' Lindberg and Ludvig 'HEAP' Alonso from Dignitas standing in at various events, the team was on the lookout for a fifth that fit.

And they are hoping that FASHR will prove to be the X-factor they need in order to be competitive at the upcoming EPL Season. The biggest question mark for the team is without a doubt Mezii's leadership. While the player has been incredibly versatile in his short career so far, leading a team as a 2nd year player is going to be a tough ask. The firepower is there, but will Mezii be able to extract the best out of it in order to make another playoffs run? We'll find out when Fnatic makes their debut at EPL Season 16.
