ESL Pro League Season 16 will feature a live audience.

ESL Gaming and the Gaming Malta Foundation have announced an extension of their ESL Pro League partnership till the end of Season 20. 

“We’ve been a proud partner of GamingMalta for the past two years of ESL Pro League and couldn’t be happier to finally be in Malta to host the upcoming seasons of our premier CS:GO league,” said Brian Krämer, General Manager, CS:GO at ESL Gaming. “Together with GamingMalta, we are not only offering the perfect environment for the best teams in the

world, but we continue to underline our core principle of creating a world where everybody can become somebody through activations for aspiring CS:GO players in the region.”

This partnership renewal will feature a $850,000 prize pool per season of the ESL Pro League. It will bring in the best teams from the Conference stage and the Group stage to Malta. 

Besides bringing global attention on the Mediterranean island, the partnership also serves as an excellent opportunity for ESL to help develop esports in Malta.

Silvio Schembri - Minister of the Economy, European Funds and Lands for the Government of  Malta, welcomed this partnership: “Our vision to position Malta as an esports hub is bearing fruit and this continued partnership with ESL will continue to showcase Malta’s gaming ecosystem as the Home of Gaming Excellence, welcoming top esports athletes to our island for years to come.”

Malta and ESL first partnered in 2020 to aid ESL Gaming’s esports ecosystem. This was an excellent opportunity for ESL to continue to grow. For Malta, this partnership allowed them to position themselves on the global esports landscape.

ESL Pro League Season 16 will feature 15 Louvre partner teams qualified through either the ESL CS:GO World Ranking or the ESL Pro League Conference Stage hosted at DreamHack Summer in Jönköping, Sweden earlier this summer. The playoffs stage will take place from September 27 - Oct 2, 2022. 

When will ESL Pro League Season 16 tickets go live?

ESL Pro League Season 16 will feature a live audience. For many CS: GO fans this is an excellent opportunity to watch their favorite players in action.

Tickets will go live on September 5. With the limited availability, you can expect these tickets to be sold out very soon.
