K1to put up a great performance that decimated his opponents.

BIG qualified for the IEM Katowice Group Stage after defeating FURIA this Wednesday. The Germans won the match after a brilliant performance by Nils "k1to" Gruhne. The maps played were Anubis, Mirage, and Ancient.

Now, FURIA will wait for the winner of paiN and IHC's match, which will happen this Thursday. This will be the last opportunity for the Brazilians to qualify for Katowice's Group Stage.

KSCERATO and saffee dominate Anubis

The first map of the match, picked by BIG, was Anubis. The Germans started well on the CT side and had a good advantage in the beginning, but Kaike "KSCERATO" Cerato helped FURIA recover in the last rounds. This put BIG in a 8-7 lead.

Meanwhile, the Brazilians showed a well-prepared tactic to play as CT. They won five rounds in a row to get ahead on the leaderboard, with a great performance from Rafael "saffee" Costa. After that, the teams started to trade points. However, FURIA controlled the numbers and won Anubis with a score of 16-11.

BIG recover in Mirage

Mirage was FURIA's pick, and the Brazilian players started off well by winning three rounds in a row. However, BIG controlled the action on the map with an excellent performance by k1to. This led the team with a 10-5 advantage on the scoreboard at the end of the first half.

Playing on the CT side, BIG was able to control the difference in the score to keep FURIA away. The Brazilians still had four rounds, but they weren't able to handle k1to.

K1to decimates FURIA on Ancient and BIG is in IEM Katowice Groups

The decider game was Ancient, and even though FURIA started on the CT side, it was BIG that dominated the half. Again, k1to delivered a powerful performance and gave the Brazilians no room to breathe. His team dominated the leaderboard with a score of 12-3.

With a nearly impossible mission on the T side, FURIA was still able to bring some rounds. However, k1to kept eliminating his opponments and became the MVP of Ancient. His 33/22 KD difference and 1.99 ratings helped BIG win the map 16-9.

Now, FURIA will have to wait until Friday to play for a spot in the IEM Katowice Group Stage. BIG will join Ninjas in Pyjamas and Cloud9 players who qualified from the Play-In.
