Two defeats ended Vitality’s journey at IEM Katowice.
The European team from Team Vitality said goodbye to IEM Katowice earlier than expected. The voted best team of 2023 failed to achieve a victory in Poland.
Vitality, led by Dan "apEX" Madesclaire, ended up getting eliminated from IEM Katowice after close defeats against ENCE and Heroic.

In the game against the new ENCE, Vitality did not start well in the match. On the ENCE side, Olek "hades" Miskiewicz was in great form, being highlighted as the best player of the series.
Both on Anubis and on the last map, Nuke, Hades was a very important player in ENCE's victory. Vitality started IEM Katowice with an unexpected 2-1 defeat.

In the first map, Vitality had to face another in-form AWPer, this time Nico "nicoodoz" Tamjidi. The Dane was a solid piece in Heroic's scheme with clutch and important kills.
The second map was won by the smallest margin by Vitality. Next, the last and decisive map was Vertigo. Guy "NertZ" Iluz was unstoppable in this map, highlighting the move that the player reversed in favor of his team.
With these two defeats, Team Vitality left the competition early. The team was considered one of the favorites to win the competition in Poland.
