Can VP pull a second rabbit out of the hat?
Group B’s first day was filled with amazingly entertaining matches. G2 nearly knocked Spirit down with Taz playing in place of m0NESY. In the other opener, Virtus.Pro was a light wind away from a knockout but managed to bounce back and send Vitality to the lower bracket.
That sets us up with an unexpected upper-bracket match, Virtus.Pro vs Spirit, whoever wins will get a direct birth into the Semi-Finals of the Spring Finals at Wembley Stadium.

Can anyone challenge donk?
The biggest question for Virtus.Pro will be whether anybody can compete with donk. The 17-year-old rifler is an absolute phenom, boasting a 1.38 rating in the opening match. While Virtus.Pro can look to compete with the rest of Spirit; there seems to be no answer for Donk so far at Spring Finals.
Electronic and fame both looked solid and had great moments against Vitality. But neither of them will completely take over the game. Throw sh1ro and zont1x's 1.35+ ratings on top, and VP may simply get outclassed.
If somehow they can manage the firepower, they'll at least have a shot in the calling. But getting to that stage seems too big of an ask.

Anubis - VP get donked
VP started off with a pistol win conversion, but donk’s 4K entry and a magixx clutch made it 2-2 and took the economic control. Timeouts were the game's name, with technical and tactical variants coming out in the next couple of rounds. Virtus.Pro tried to do what they could to hang out, with electronic nearly keeping up with Donk, but the phenom eventually eclipsed him, with help from sh1ro. That took the wind out of VP’s sail as Spirit rushed up to an 8-3 lead. A 2v3 on A gave Jame’s men a shot back in, but an 8-4 half was absolutely phenomenal.
Spirit maintained their stronghold in the second half as a missed Molotov allowed chopper to go undetected for a pistol win. The anti-eco was a farming simulator for zont1x as the mp9 wielder mowed down 4. zont1x was now the highlight maker, first sticking a defuse with three alive against him to secure match point. Then, the rifler just cleaned the board to close the map out.
Dust2 - Spirit steamroll with sheer skill
Virtus.Pro once again started the map with a 2-0 advantage. donk’s sheer aura of damage had VP’s post-plant on B quivering, but they held on for a third. That was game on for Spirit. Not only were the individuals on point, the teamplay was amazing to watch. The zont1x and donk duo seemed simply indomitable. Then, donk started farming with a 25-bullet AK spray, showing perfect control in mid.
Just like Ancient, VP needed tec9s to break in as they got two entries into B. Spirit backed off but managed to cull every saving T, except, of course, Jame. IGL v IGL, chopper pulled out a sneaky double kill to stop VP’s long attempt. Still VP managed a decent 5-7 half.
FL1T got 3 massive kills in the pistol but was unable to lock the round in for VP. Choosing to take an eco, VP focused their funds on round 3. But a failed spray down from n0rb3r7 and a crispy headshot from magixx took away the round and the save from VP. Jame was the difference maker for VP, as his kills made the foundation for three rounds back to back. An anti-eco nearly slipped away, but FL1T's kills proved to be just enough.
They may have been delayed, but donk was getting impatient as he took a 3k to secure match point. But VP's grit was commendable. They stayed strong and got 11 on board. n0rb3r7's 2k and Jame's mega impact frags were not enough as Spirit took the win.
Spirit through to Semi-Finals at Spring Finals over Virtus.Pro
Team Spirit makes it to the Semi-Finals by the skin of their teeth on Dust2. Expected result and when you consider Ancient, they were definitely in control. That sets us up for a superb playoffs bracket where Spirit will take on the winner of FaZe and Vitality. Meanwhile VP go up against Astralis in a winnable match. Let's see if anyone can stop the donk.
