He was with FaZe Clan for almost three years
FaZe Clan has officially announced the departure of Twistzz from their Counter-Strike lineup. The 24-year-old Canadian player wrote a heartfelt farewell statement as he is ready to move on to the next challenge.
Twistzz leaves FaZe Clan
Twistzz has been with FaZe Clan for nearly three years having joined the team back in January 2021. He was previously a part of Team Liqud and joined FaZe Clan with the clear intention of marking themselves as the best team in the world.
What an amazing 3 years it has been, from the moment I joined this organization, I felt welcomed by the FaZe fans and community. 2021 was not an easy year but I believed in the plan that was in place, in 2022 we achieved excellence and by the end of 2023, we finished what we started together, solidifying this roster in history with the all time greats.
He also added that he had finalized his decision to leave the team before IEM Sydney started. It was his final event for FaZe Clan and still the team won the Sydney event defeating Complexity in the Grand Finals. The victory also helped FaZe secure their spot at IEM Katowice 2024 next year.
Before IEM Sydney started, the team knew of my departure. I knew it was going to be a last dance, but I could have never anticipated the success that followed.
We completed the game, I can’t be more proud of what we accomplished, I have made life long friends in this team and organization and if the opportunity ever happened again, I would be proud fo wear a FaZe jersey once more.
During his time on FaZe Clan, Twistzz won multiple tournaments including the likes of IEM Katowice 2022, ESL Pro League Season 15, IEM Katowice 2022. They also topped the BLAST Premier World leaderboard last year as well as the Intel Grand Slam Season 4.
They have also had quite some success this year with victories at ESL Pro League Season 17 and IEM Sydney, Thunderpick World Championships and CS Asia Championship. They also finished second at the BLAST Premier Fall Finals last month.
What is FaZe’s roster now?
Following Twistzz’s departure, FaZe Clan’s CS roster is reduced to four members. The team’s roster is as follows:
