zont1x said Spirit know what they have to do to win against MOUZ.

As nearly every CS2 analyst predicted, Team Spirit and MOUZ are the best teams at BetBoom Dacha and will face each other this Friday, Aug. 30 in the upper bracket final.

Spirit have cruised in BetBoom Dacha thus far, having defeated Falcons 2-0 on the first day of the playoffs and stomped FURIA on the second day, conceding only five rounds across two maps. MOUZ, on the other hand, breezed past Eternal Fire on the day of the playoffs and won a tough 2-1 game against paiN Gaming to get into the upper bracket final.

Esports.gg got a hold of Spirit's rifler Myroslav "zont1x" Plakhotja following their one-sided win against FURIA at BetBoom Dacha and asked how the team felt about a potential game against MOUZ, which was confirmed after MOUZ defeated paiN. The last time Spirit and MOUZ faced each other was in May in the grand finals of the first BetBoom Dacha event of the year, and MOUZ had no trouble beating them 3-0.

"We're confident," zont1x said. "Of course MOUZ are a very good opponent and one of the best teams in the world, and we didn't have a good game against them last time. But, we understand why that happened, and we just know what to do to perform better, and what we have to do to win. I think it's going to be an interesting game."

Esports.gg also discussed Spirit's match against FURIA and their IEM Cologne run with zont1x, and you can read his answers below.

Interview with Spirit zont1x at BetBoom Dacha

Were you expecting to beat FURIA in this fashion here at BetBoom Dacha?

"It was a pretty logical result because we have always played well against Brazilians due to their playstyle. It's very comfortable for us and we're in good shape."

Does Spirit have something to prove here after the bad showing at IEM Cologne?

"I don't think IEM Cologne is a championship you should look at if you want to understand how we play. For me, it's like this championship doesn't exist, for many reasons. I don't think we have to prove anything, and to be honest, we have to play our game, try to become better as we were before, and try to enjoy the game."
