This series of essential gaming equipment looks pretty awesome — if you admire Nikola “NiKo” Kovač. The products are based on the existing Razer models. The Counter-Strike community is impressed and salty at the same time.

One of the top gaming hardware brands, Razer, introduced four products via the NiKo collection: a mouse, mousepad, keyboard, and headset. Beyond the flames and NiKo's autograph on the models, this series is fascinating regardless of your opinion on Nikola "NiKo" Kovač.

Razer is known for doing custom designs inspired by games. But it's the first time they've done something in collaboration with a specific Counter-Strike player. It's a path that potentially leads to collections of other CS2 celebrities. Just imagine such a line from a player you really look up to — not necessarily by Razer.

Inspired by NiKo's playstyle

The black-and-white flames over a silver background make up the core of the Razer NiKo collection. This design was created in direct collaboration with NiKo himself. According to Razer, the flames are inspired by NiKo's playstyle, and this style reflects the player's competitive spirit.

“This collection represents an important milestone in my career. Having a product line that truly reflects who I am as a player and as a person was something I always wanted to achieve but I knew I needed to do it properly. Every detail comes from my own experience, my values and standards, and what I believe in as a competitor.”

Praise and scepticism

The community's reaction to the Razer NiKo collection is pretty polarized. Many people praise the very initiative of creating special series in collaboration with CS2 professionals. Apart from that, positive and negative opinions are based mainly on the reputation of NiKo and the hardware market situation.

NiKo sure is a great player; there is no doubt about his achievements in competitive Counter-Strike. He has a solid fan base, and the Razer product with his signature design is an amazing treat for them.

At the same time, the last year in NiKo's career is a rollercoaster of emotions. His transition from G2 Esports to Team Falcons was largely taken as a pursuit for money and even a betrayal. The results with Falcons are shaky, as the celebrity roster and their legendary coach still can't win a really big CS2 esports tournament.

At such a level of popularity, esports players certainly earn both fans and haters. In this regard, the skepticism about the Razer NiKo collection is not about the products at all. People actively mock the player for Deagle misshots: "Will I also miss that with such a mouse?"

The mouse

While the Razer products have a good reputation among Counter-Strike players, not everyone is happy about their price. Some criticism also comes from the comparison of the Razer mouse in the NiKo collection to the recent reveal by the competitors. There is a strong opinion that Logitech G Pro X Superstrike is a new standard in the industry and that Razer should adjust their products accordingly.

The design itself got mainly positive reactions. The announcement happened on Feb. 16, during the PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 event: on the day when Team Falcons defeated their demons from FURIA and qualified for the Playoffs. It was also NiKo's 29th birthday.

It would be really awesome to see NiKo using his Razer collection at big esports events — and sure, winning them.

Previously, Razer released a collaboration mouse with the League of Legends celebrity, Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok. It's DeathAdder V3 Pro Faker Edition.
