The first CS2 Major begins with several surprises.

Day one of the PGL Major Copenhagen CS2 as a traditional Major event had several surprises. With two best-of-ones played today, four teams will be one best-of-three away from qualifying for the next phase.

On the other hand, four other teams will be in the danger zone and will sleep thinking that they are one BO3 away from elimination. However, only two teams will qualify for the next stage and two will be eliminated tomorrow.

The first round of day one of PGL Major Copenhagen CS2 was played to the rhythm of Brazilian dance. Imperial and paiN, against the favoritism of their opponents, won their matches. Imperial's game against ENCE was decided after three overtimes. In his first appearance in Majors, Kaike "noway" Santos was decisive for Imperial in the game against the Poles. The young player finished with 37 kills and a rating of 1.41.

In the first round, two local derbys also stand out. SAW didn't stand a chance against their Iberian counterparts from KOI, with a controlled match from start to finish. The big surprise is Legacy's victory against compatriot FURIA. One overtime was enough for Marcelo "coldzera" David's team to surprise the panthers.

In the second round of games on day one of PGL Major Copenhagen CS2, several good games for Counter-Strike fans.

Eternal Fire didn't let paiN breathe Anubis. Imperial promised to continue to surprise in the competition, but in overtime, HEROIC outperformed the Brazilians. Played to 0-3 by several players due to their lack of experience in Major competitions, ECSTATIC has already blown a lot of people's pick'em by achieving victory in the duel against The MongolZ.

AMKAL continues to insist in its Overpass that day one of PGL Major Copenhagen CS2 has not yet been successful for the Russians. Defeat to Apeks on the map puts the team at 0-2.

Legacy still dreamed of a victory against Cloud9 and was just a few steps away from achieving it. The Brazilian team had a 10-4 advantage in the result. However, a practically perfect CT from Cloud9 achieved a comeback in the result, closing the map at 13-10 for the Russians.

In the first participation of a Portuguese squad in a Major, SAW secured two victories by defeating GamerLegion at Vertigo in the second round. With this victory, since 0-2 in the European RMR, SAW begins a streak of eleven consecutive victories.

Perhaps the biggest surprise of day one of PGL Major Copenhagen CS2. Unrecognizable, FURIA lost to Lynn Vision's Chinese squad and is in the danger zone. The Brazilian team disappointed everyone's expectations on the first day of the Major.
