NAVI vs Team Spirit at Katowice 2025: Team Spirit get their revenge on NAVI despite boos from the crowd

NAVI and Team Spirit will face each other in the semifinals of the IEM Katowice 2025. The two teams have been at loggerheads for the past several months and fans will once again get to see them go up against each other. Here’s everything you need to know about the NAVI vs Team Spirit match including team rosters, live score, and results.

The first round itself set the tone for the series. Mirage started with Donk getting four kills with the USP. The MVP player was instrumental in the first few rounds as Team Spirit put up a wall of a defense. NAVI, often famed for their set plays and their read of the map were unable to break through the CT defense. Team Spirit marched ahead to a 7-1 lead before finally allowing NAVI a round win.

Mirage is one of NAVI's strongest maps and the previous series between the two teams had seen NAVI take Mirage with ease. However, this time, Team Spirit were prepared for the Mirage pick and had a great read of NAVI's playstyle.

Winning Mirage was a massive upset, as this was a map that NAVI were expected to win with ease. The second map of the series was Dust 2 and Team Spirit are a very strong team on this map.

After a win on Mirage, it looked like Team Spirit would easily take the series. But NAVI are not an easy walkthrough map, the team has dominated on Dust 2 in the past and they have a lot of experience amongst their players.

With this victory, Team Spirit will now face off against Vitality in the Grand Finals of IEM Katowice 2025. Vitality has been a dominant force in the tournament so far, but Team Spirit seem to have momentum on their side.

The two teams have already faced each other once in this tournament. The series, the upper bracket semifinals, saw NAVI take down Team Spirit with a 2-1 score. The series saw a masterful performance by donk, who had 71 frags across the three maps. Unfortunately, this heroic effort was not enough as it was an overall much better and improved performance by NAVI.

The third and final map of Nuke went into overtime and that’s where NAVI pulled ahead. NAVI’s dominance on Mirage was clearly visible as they limited Team Spirit to single digits, a feat that is quite difficult considering the raw firepower on the squad. 

Team Spirit would go on to win their Lower bracket matches against both Team Liquid and GamerLegion. The victories were a given considering the skill gap against these teams. NAVI won their last match against The MongolZ (again a walkthrough) and took the top seed in the Playoffs.

Team Spirit finished third in the group stage, which meant they started the playoffs in the quarterfinals. The quarterfinal start saw them go up against Virtus.pro. While there were some expectations from VP of potentially throwing up a few surprises, Virtus.pro bowed out meekly with 2 and 9 rounds apiece on the two maps.
