The Brazilian team have won four series in a row at BetBoom Dacha.

Felipe "skullz" Medeiros and the rest of FURIA's CS2 team breeze past Virtus.pro 2-0 at BetBoom Dacha CS2 2024 in Belgrade, Serbia on Wednesday, Aug. 28.

The Brazilian team are having quite a resurgence in the $500,000 tournament as they're showing their best Counter-Strike in the whole year. They initially lost to 9 Pandas, then went on to defeat Aurora, 9 Pandas, Eternal Fire, and now Virtus.pro.

It's currently unclear how far skullz and FURIA can go at BetBoom Dacha as they'll have to overcome better teams in the form of Team Spirit, for example, to challenge for the trophy. However, skullz told esports.gg that "the sky is the limit" for FURIA.

"The sky is the limit for us," skullz said. "We still haven't figured out what is the best way for us to play, we're still testing a lot of things in the team, and the team is very new. We have a lot of things to improve, but I'm feeling very confident, we're in this together, and everyone is getting along. I think we just have to keep working and we'll get very far."

FURIA defeated today Virtus.pro, who are historically a team that defeat Brazilian teams. How was the preparation for the game?

"We didn't prepare much to face Virtus.pro specifically as we wanted to focus more on our own stuff for this tournament, and it's working very well. I think FalleN had some pretty good calls in both Inferno and Mirage, and he had some great reads on Jame as well."

We're seeing you pick Inferno a lot here at BetBoom Dacha instead of Nuke like in the previous tournaments. Did you come here to test Inferno or were you feeling confident already?

"I think Inferno has always been our best map since the start of the team, statistically speaking. Our Nuke is also up there, but we played it a lot in other tournaments, and teams become more wary of our tendencies. Inferno is a map that a lot of teams play, and you have to focus more on yourself [instead of anti-stratting]."

In this victory against Virtus.pro, none of you had an absurd amount of frags. It looked more like a team effort. Do you agree?

"I agree. I think that Virtus.pro is also a team that don't feed you a lot of kills because they like to save their weapons. Most times you don't want to chase them too much to not lose too many weapons yourself. I think everybody played very well and I barely saw any of the Virtus.pro players in Mirage, so I didn't have a lot of action on that map."
