FaZe continues CS2 dominance at BLAST Fall Finals

After securing three consecutive tournament victories in a row, it seems FaZe Clan is in no mood to slow down. The CAC 2023 Champions start their BLAST Premier Fall Finals with a victory over NiP. 

The Ninjas in Pyjamas picked Vertigo as their map of choice. They started the map with a first round victory, but it was followed by a massive round streak for FaZe Clan. FaZe quickly moved on to a 10-2 lead, completely dominating the first half. 

It didn’t matter what kind of weapons they had on their hand. They were winning rounds of pistols, weapons and even in some situations, where theoretically they were supposed to be the underdogs.  

After a 10-2 lead in the first half, FaZe won the pistol round despite a heroic effort by E3tag. He tried his best to flash and defuse the C4, but unfortunately, it was not enough. 

The Ninjas fared slightly better on Nuke than Vertigo, but they still fell short on the second map of the series. They won five rounds on their Counter-Terrorist side, leading to a 7-5 lead for FaZe Clan in their debut Fall Finals match.

Unfortunately, NiP couldn’t bounce back in the initial rounds of the second half. This led to the Ninjas playing under pressure and it was always going to be a question of when they would ultimately face defeat. FaZe secured Nuke with a 13-9 score.

Twistzz had a 1.59 rating with 21 kills to his name. The player’s accuracy ensured he was getting a lot of impact frags and ensuring a competitive lead for his team. 

The BLAST Premier Fall Finals is an eight-team LAN competition. The top team qualifies to the World Final that will take place next month. However, the Fall Finals also have a $425,000 prize pool, making it a coveted event for the participating teams. 

FaZe Clan need just one more match victory to qualify for the playoffs, which will be a single-elimination knockout format. You can catch the action live on Twitch.
