Falcons wants kyxsan, degster, and TeSeS from HEROIC.

After exploring other options throughout the off-season, Falcons is now targeting three HEROIC players.

The Saudi-backed organization is "locked in discussions" with HEROIC over the signing of Macedonian IGL Damjan "kyxsan" Stoilkovski, Danish rifler René "TeSeS" Madsen, and the AWPer Abdulkhalik "degster" Gasanov, according to a joint report by HLTV.org and the CS2 insider Guillaume "neL" Rathier.

According to their findings, the talks between Falcons and HEROIC are in an "advanced stage", but the Saudi organization still needs to reach an agreement with kyxsan, TeSeS, and degster.

This move marks a complete U-turn in Falcons' strategy during the off-season. NeL previously reported that the Saudis failed to sign Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov and Jimi "Jimpphat" Salo to pair with the incoming arrival of Nikola "NiKo" Kovač.

Days after, neL reported that Falcons was exploring the signings of youngsters Dmytro "jambo" Semera and Michel "ewjerkz" Pinto. But now, it seems that the Saudis have decided to pursue the HEROIC trio.

Should this move come to fruition, it would be the end of HEROIC as we know it. The Danish organization is also reportedly losing the Israeli star Guy "NertZ" Iluz to Team Liquid. The Danish rifler Rasmus "sjuush" Beck and the head coach Eetu "sAw" Saha would be the only two remaining in HEROIC for 2025.

Besides not having to build a team entirely from scratch as they would secure three players who are already playing together, Falcons would inherit HEROIC's Valve Ranking points.

This is an important factor for 2025 as all tournament organizers will have to use the Valve Ranking to determine invites. Without getting a made trio, Falcons would need to attend tier-two events throughout 2025 to earn enough points to justify an invite to a tier-one event.

On top of that, Falcons wouldn't need to force Emil "Magisk" Reif to become an IGL as they'd have kyxsan.

Benefits aside, though, this CS2 off-season shows that Falcons doesn't have a set strategy. First, they tried to build a superteam with NiKo, m0NESY, and Jimpphat, then targeted two youngsters in the form of ewjerkz and jambo.

If another semester goes to waste, the head coach Danny "zonic" Sørensen will certainly be under much criticism.
