Electronic joins Virtus.pro

Electronic has joined Virtus.Pro as the org replaces Mir on their Counter-Strike roster. Fans should hope for an improvement in the org’s performance after they have had a difficult time in recent months. 

“Virtus.pro is a top team. The core of the roster has won a Major not while ago, and all the players are in their prime and ready for victories right now. We share the same ambitions and goals. Besides, I’m also excited about the idea of playing with Jame, as he’s one of the most unique IGLs in the game. Can’t wait to adapt to my new team and start doing what I came here for — winning trophies.” 

As part of this announcement, electronic parts ways with Cloud9. The player joined Cloud9 in July last year after nearly six years on NAVI. The team had some great results but they were much below their expectations. The team finished 9-12th in most of the events they attended this year including the Copenhagen Major, IEM Chengdu, as well as Katowice (13-16). 

Virtus.Pro will next compete in the ESL Pro League. The ESL Pro League Season 19 kicks off on April 23 and will continue for well over a month. The world’s best teams will compete in this event for their share of the $750,000 prize pool.
