Win number 24 is on the cards for Team Vitality, but Team Spirit can put a stop to the record-breaking run at BLAST Rivals Spring 2025.
In the second semi-final from BLAST Rivals Spring 2025, Team Vitality will be looking to claim yet another victory on their hot streak. Standing in their path is Team Spirit.
Having the luxury of a day’s break as the top-seeded team in Group A, Vitality has a chance to go one step closer to making history. On the other side, Spirit has looked shaky at times as they return from a short hiatus in search of a massive grand final appearance.
Vitality looks to equal the Ninjas in Pyjamas record

Head-to-head (2025): Vitality 5-1
Last meeting: BLAST Open Spring 2025 (2-1 semi-final win to Vitality)
Players to watch: donk, ZywOo, ropz, sh1ro
Vitality seems to be completely unstoppable at the moment. 2025 has been a fantastic year for the team, with win after win. Most recently, the team dominated at IEM Melbourne.
Now, with 23 wins on the trot, win number 24 would send them into yet another grand final. There is more to it, however, as they stand to also equal Liquid's 24-match win streak from 2018.
But it will not be easy with Spirit standing in their path. After cruising to a victory over Wildcard, the team will be hungry to reach the grand finals on their return.
Spirit will want to forget the year that they have had when facing Vitality. With a score line of 5-1, Vitality have dominated the matchup, with the most recent victory coming at the BLAST Open Spring 2025, shortly before Spirit’s April break.
On one side, Vitality will look to write themselves into the history books, while the other will see Spirit trying to break the streak. It remains to be seen whether Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut will prevail or if Danil “donk” Kryshkovets can dent the Vitality train. With a grand finals spot on the line, this will be an extremely hyped match between two giants of CS2.

Highlights
Absolute dominance from Vitality was seen on Mirage. The team completely outplayed Spirit in the first half, taking an 11-1 lead at the switch. Spirit began to put up a fight from the CT side, with Chopper managing to finally put some kills on the board in the second half. Unfortunately, even after taking six unanswered rounds and mounting a valiant comeback attempt, Spirit could not hold out. Eventually, Vitality closed it out with a 13-8 win.
Having woken up a bit in the second half of Mirage, Nuke saw a much closer affair. Spirit managed to claw back a few rounds; it was nowhere near enough to force an overtime, however, with Vitality not looking back once match point was reached. At the end, Dan “apex” Madesclaire hit a clean double kill to secure the win.
With that, Vitality secures their spot in the grand finals of BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 and their fifth finals showing in a row. Even bigger than that, the team hits a massive 24-match win streak – the second biggest in the history of CS.
Vitality will now need to take down Team Falcons to claim yet another grand finals victory for 2025.
