Astralis failed to qualify for the PGL Copenhagen Major.

Following their RMR debacle, Astralis have implemented a few changes to their Counter-Strike roster. In terms of the active roster, the team has benched Benjamin "blameF" Bremer and at the same time, also announced the addition of Casper "ruggah" Due as the Astralis team’s coach.

Astralis bench blameF

Days after their elimination from the European RMR, Astralis have announced they are benching blameF from the active roster.

I'll be looking to continue playing asap but as a riffle (non IGL) so if any organisations are interested in talking with me, you can reach me through my DM.

The player is already looking for a new organization to represent and he announced he will continue playing as a rifler. The player is contracted to Astralis till the end of 2025, so any org interested in the player will be looking at a contract buyout.

On Astralis, blameF has competed both as a player and for a short while as the IGL. When gla1ve parted ways with the organization blameF stepped up to lead the team and the org found some success again in the scene. However, frequent roster changes have made it difficult for the team to find stable success. The failure to qualify for the Copenhagen Major was the final straw.

Ruggah joins Astralis

As a Danish coach, being signed to Astralis is one of the greatest achievements imaginable. It is an organization that is hugely respected and that never backs down despite headwinds. The ambitions in Astralis are towering in all areas, and although on the team side it has been unfulfilled in the past few years, it is a group of players with a huge potential, I look forward to working with.

Ruggah

Astralis lost to 9Pandas in the EU RMR Decider, a 0-2 loss that dashed their fans’ hopes of seeing them at the Major. Popular for their era in Counter-Strike Global Offensive, it comes as a shock to not see them at the first-ever Counter-Strike 2 Major.

The Astralis roster is as follows:

  • Nicolai "device" Reedtz
  • Martin "stavn" Lund
  • Benjamin "blameF" Bremer (benched)
  • Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard
  • Victor "Staehr" Staehr
  • Casper "ruggah" Due (Head Coach)
